OI China PRAYER LETTER November 2008
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. ~ Heb 11:6 (NIV)
As one of the unique services of OIC, industrial engineer Evan (left) conducts on-sight processing and factory management consulting services to help promote efficiency, productivity and job safety of our clients. Success of our client businesses helps to bring transformation to their lives.
Once she was retrenched by the State-owned enterprise and despaired, client Ms Wang Ping regained her self-esteem through a loan from OIC. She built a small chicken farm in a rural village of Hefei. With her three local employees she enjoys hard work and a blessed life.
Praises & Thanksgivings: • Thank God for a blessed trip with fellowship and sharing in Melbourne, Australia in mid October. The special trip was organised for OIC to conduct three sessions of presentation to witness God’s love and grace for the poor in China. •
Praise the Lord that OIC has reached an agreement with the Johns Hopkins University to partnership in the annual internship program. There will be three positions opened for the University students in OI China every year in the future.
•
Give the Lord our heartfelt thanks for the safe journey of our beloved co-workers, Caroline and Carrie, during their recent visit to the Philippines. Thanks to our brothers and sisters there for their kind support and hospitality extended to OI China.
Prayer Requests: • Please continue to pray for the funding and development of the new Microcredit Company in Jiangsu Province. May the Lord use OIC to bless more people in the poorest county of Jiangsu and bring glory to His name. •
Pray for the Board of Directors of OI China as they prepare for the Board meeting in mid November. May the Lord continue to lead and guide the Board of Directors of OIC as they meet and steer the direction of OIC.
•
Ask God to give the OIC management team wisdom as they are in the process of developing operational plan and budget for 2009.
