OI China PRAYER LETTER October 2009
I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. Client Wang Jingwen was amongst the first of the five-member loan group clients in March at the opening of the OI China (Suyu) Rural Microcredit Company. With the USD 700 loan, Wang was able to hire 15 workers to expand his dream of mushroom growers cooperative. Upon satisfactory completion of the first loan, Wang was given a bigger loan and now created jobs for 30 full-time and up to 30 par-time workers.
Josh and Beth Ruyle came to OI China as interns in 2008. They spent the whole summer learning microfinance and the OI corporate culture. After completing their master degrees with SAIS of Johns Hopkins University they decided to respond to the calling of the Lord by serving the poor in China. Josh and Beth have very good Chinese language skills in both oral and written forms.

Thank God for His keeping and provision. Through a period of prayer and searching, five key positions, which opened up as a result of job promotion and turnover, were filled in September. Shelley Shi; Kiki Yu; Jolene Yu; Josh and Beth Ruyle joined the OIC family during the month.

Praise the Lord for the safe arrival of Josh and Beth Ruyle, the new managers of OI China, from the US. Josh and Beth received their Master degrees recently from the Johns Hopkins University. They share the vision of OI China and are committed to serve the poor in China as a result of their fruitful and pleasant internship program with us of last year.

We give our heartfelt thanks to our Lord for his guidance in our development of the new product – Motor Vehicle Loan Guarantee for transport businessmen. After 3 months of design and development we finally launched the product and issue the first MV Loan in September.

Pray for the safe travel of passengers during the National Day Holiday Golden Week as an estimated 200 million people all over China return their home on this eight-day holiday period.
