OI China PRAYER LETTER October 2010 “Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.” ~ Psalms 73: 23 - 26 (KJV)
Praises & Thanksgivings: •
Thanks to God for His guidance and blessing, the Boards of Directors of OI China and OIHK completed their meetings at the beginning of September with fruitful results. The directors stated that they are satisfied with the performance of the operations and approved further development plans proposed by the management. Both the Boards of OI China and OIHK have instructed the management to take further steps of development quickly to bring OIC services and support to more poor entrepreneurs in the region. As such, the Boards decided that the next Board Meeting will be held at the end of October when the management presents the action plans for the growth strategy of OIC and OIHK.

Praise the Lord that the OIC Rural Service Centres (RSC) are functioning well and catering for the local needs of the rural farmers. The farmers can now have access to OIC financial services while they visit the local vet clinics; convenient stores or farming machinery workshops. The RSCs are the extension of OIC client care and services.
Prayer Requests: •
In September, Suqian experienced historic torrential rain and flood. OIC sent out early warnings and guidance to farmers and minimised the damages to many of our clients. Loan officers of OIC went out in the rain and crossed deep waters to help our clients. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of vegetable sheds collapsed and paddy fields submerged under the water. The flood came just one week before harvesting. There was a chicken farm coop with ten partners lost all their chicks in the storm. OIC proactively approached these farmers and relieved them from the immediate repayment obligations. Some of the farmers even received additional loans to rebuild their businesses. Please pray for the farmers for their prompt recovery from the situation and bless the OIC staff for their timely support to the victims.
•
Please pray for the forthcoming Board Meeting in late October. The board members will be travelling from various countries and regions to get together in Taipei. May the Lord grant all directors journey mercy and guide them with wisdom from heaven above and make OIC His blessed instrument of transformation.
