ABSTRACT BERLIN
Opposite of Berlin Studio
INTRODUCTION
This collection is inspired by abstract architectural elements of Berlin buildings. Most of these buildings are high profile GDR architecture, like the Cafe Moskau. Details of the patterns inspired our designs, which are also function as small mementos of these abstract elements, often overlooked in everyday life. Some of them, for example the Kaufhaus facade, has been removed years ago, and only exist in personal memory. We like the idea to connect to the city through hidden elements of architecture, which has a potential of a more personal attachment to ones living environment.
