W
hile significant national efforts to eliminate avoidable pressure ulcers (APUs) have been made in recent years, tissue viability nurses are confronted by a range of dayto-day challenges in achieving an APU incidence rate of zero. In response, Wounds UK will hold an intensive one-day event providing practical advice on how to achieve national targets of eliminating APUs. The focus will be on recognising problems and offering realistic solutions. The meeting will be centred on the following objectives: Identifying a common language – What are avoidable

on sacral pressure ulcers, heel ulcers and device-related pressure ulcers
