salm 91 is a beautiful passage of Scripture, showing what we might call the allencompassing protection that God makes known to His children. According to this Psalm, His protection is available to us morning, noon, and night, in sickness and health, in good times, in challenging times, no matter what we may be facing. I believe the Word of God makes it clear that we can always call on Him; we can always apply 4

But I want to draw your attention to something important that I believe we are called to do if we want to take part in what God has for us in Psalm 91. We have a part to play if we want to tap into the Word available to us, according
to these verses. And we can see what as a confession of our faith. by Richard Roberts This Fourth of July, when we as Americans come together to celebrate our independence, I encourage you to remember all the sacrifices that our brave servicemen and women have made over the years so that we and others around the world could experience freedom. Let’s pray according to 1 Timothy 2:1–4 for all those who help us enjoy our rights and our independence…including our president, the Congress, judicial officials, our federal, state, and local representatives, police officers, firefighters, and all those who give of their time to serve our communities.
And remember… There is another kind of freedom that can be celebrated every day of the year: the true freedom that comes from knowing Jesus Christ as our Savior. If you don’t yet know the freedom that Jesus Christ offers, you can call the Abundant Life ® Prayer Group anytime, day or night, at 918-495-7777 or go online to www.oralroberts.com/prayer. Our caring prayer partners are here to pray and agree with you in faith for all your needs to be met and for you to live a life of freedom and joy through Jesus Christ our Lord. 6

I prayed and gave a green prayer cloth to my grandson who had previously failed a test for employment. As an act of his faith, he retook the test wearing the prayer cloth and passed. —Elsie from Georgia Lindsay, your teaching is such a blessing! I certainly understand why your father-in-law (Oral Roberts) entrusted you with his precious notes. Would you consider sharing information about how you study? —Helen
Dimary from Massachusetts writes: “I love Lindsay’s program; I watch it every Saturday. Jordan has the best recipes!”
“Absolutely! I find scripture verses or sermon notes that are important to me and then begin to break them down for their meaning. I compare scripture verses in several translations and look them up in a Hebrew-Greek dictionary. Then, I compare the meaning of the Bible words to a modern-day dictionary. I am amazed at how the things of the Bible are so relevant to what’s happening today.”

Recently on Make Your Day Count, Lindsay and her good friend Brenda Kunneman, co-pastor with her husband Hank of Lord of Hosts Church in Omaha, Nebraska, were sharing the story of how they met and how the Lord began to create a godly friendship between them.
Divine
Connections BRENDA: You know, Lindsay, the way we met makes me think about divine relationships. And I really think we should expect more of these God-given relationships as we are entering into this new season that God is giving us right now. I believe we should expect Him to set up divine connections in this hour. I believe it is necessary. LINDSAY: You’ve hit on the right word—necessary. You know, the Bible talks about iron sharpening iron (Proverbs 27:17). All right, let’s think about this. If we could tiptoe through the tulips and live a glorious life where nothing bad ever happens and we don’t need our Bible, then in all honesty, who would need Jesus? But the Bible says that when you are in Christ, the thief, or the devil, comes to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10). He doesn’t go after his own; he goes after those in Christ. BRENDA: Yes. That’s right. 10

LINDSAY: The devil wants to destroy, and he walks around as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). So, at times, Christians may face attack, and when that happens, the Bible clearly talks about Christians going back to our own company for restoration (Acts 4:23). BRENDA: Yes! LINDSAY: So, whether something happens in our family, our finances, our emotions, or any other area of our lives… when we are attacked spiritually, we have to have a place to go where we share the same beliefs. I believe that place of safety and restoration can be fulfilled by our godly friends, our divine connections. BRENDA: I’m sensing in my spirit that God is saying this to His children: “Begin to expect divine appointments, divine connections, and things are going to be divinely arranged.” It was just like when Nicodemus met Jesus by night,
and they spoke about the new birth ( John 3:1–3). It was a divine appointment, a connection from the Lord. When Philip met the eunuch and led him to salvation and baptism (Acts 8:26–38), it was a divine appointment. Historically, it is said that because of the eunuch’s encounter with Philip, he eventually ministered to Candace, the queen of Ethiopia, and that the entire region of Ethiopia was reached for Christ in that day. In other words, the impact of that one divine appointment is still having an effect on that region today. I believe the Lord is saying, “Expect divine appointments.” To some of you who have your own businesses, God is saying, “Don’t depend solely on your natural skill, your ability, your education, your degree, or however you learned how to do your job. Begin to expect, by faith, that you will have divine appointments in your business.” I believe we are to expect God to bring these situations about for us because there is a supernatural intervention coming to the Body of Christ right now that has to do with these divine connections and divine relationships.
they don’t lift me up spiritually. The Bible says, how can you walk together in agreement unless you’re evenly yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14)? My grandpa used to teach us about yoking oxen. And he said, when you put the yoke on the two oxen that they are hitching together, they put the bar across their shoulders and then the yoke goes around their neck. And he actually put a yoke on my neck so I would know what it was like. I was a little kid, and I thought, “Grandpa, what are you doing?” He told me, when you put the yoke on the team of oxen, and they’re equally balanced, they both carry the load and it actually makes it lighter. But when you’re unequally yoked, the stronger one pulls ahead, and it can break the yoke of the strong one, not the little one falling behind. BRENDA: Wow, what a great analogy. LINDSAY: So many times, we go to the wrong connection. We try to
LINDSAY: But it’s got to be God’s divine appointment for us. And here’s the funny thing about it. I have friends who I really like as people. I really do. And yet, W W W. M A K E Y O U R D AY C O U N T. C O M

make a connection, or we try to manipulate a connection. But God has all the right connections! If we’ll trust Him and allow Him to direct us, we can follow His leading to the right people at the right time for God to meet our needs.
But do they really live the Word of God? LINDSAY: Do they have the fruit? BRENDA: In Matthew 7:16–17, Jesus said, “You’ll know a good tree by the fruit it bears.” And right now, there are a lot of people who are just talking. But Jesus didn’t say you’ll know them by what they say. He said, you’ll know them by what they do—by their fruit.
BRENDA: Lindsay, you said that we need to be equally yoked, and we need people who lift us up spiritually, people who will pray for us. I
my seed-faith
miracle inheritance
heard Richard Roberts teaching about the Deuteronomy 1:11 blessing while watching The Place For Miracles, and I knew I wanted to get involved. A few days after I planted my offering into the Oral Roberts Ministries, someone came up to me at a coffee shop and gave me $100. I knew then that seed-sowing works! I continued to tithe into ORM every month, even though I was in debt. But I trusted the Bible and Malachi 3 where it says that when I tithe, God will open the windows of Heaven and pour out His blessings on me. Throughout 2012 and 2013, I continued to tithe and give my seed-faith offerings, and I saw God do many miracles in my life. I was healed of a growth inside my left ear after I heard Richard give a word of knowledge from God on TV. I claimed that word for myself, and a few days later, the growth was gone. I was also healed of a bleeding ulcer after praying and believing God and using a prayer cloth. The most amazing miracle came after my Aunt in Vancouver passed away, and I learned that she had left me an inheritance of $50,000. Because of her generous gift, I was able to pay off all my debt, and my Mom and I are now able to keep our house. Becoming a tither and a seed-faith partner in the Oral Roberts Ministries is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I thank God for you.

WORSHIP Recently, Jordan Roberts interviewed Javen, an awardwinning recording artist and worldrenowned music director, whose new album Worship In The Now debuted at #12 on the Billboard Top Gospel Album Chart.
JORDAN: Javen, we are so glad to have you here. You are an extremely talented worshipper, and your music has really blessed me. JAVEN: Thank you. JORDAN: So, your newest album has just come out, right? JAVEN: Yes—it’s called Worship in the Now. It’s a live praise and worship CD that I’m extremely excited about! JORDAN: Great! Tell us a little about the inspiration behind this album. JAVEN: After having sung for so many years, being a former worship leader down in Florida and now living in Los Angeles, and then doing movies and doing all kinds of different things in the entertainment 16

industry as a writer and a producer, I really believe that worship is one of the most powerful weapons that a believer can possess. JORDAN: Absolutely. JAVEN: And so, as my team and I began to put together this project, we just decided to do an album that would have songs that are vertical— that go straight up and talk to God, and love on the Lord, and bring people into an experience with the Holy Spirit. And as we’ve done that, I believe we captured a powerpacked album of 16 songs that will really change people’s lives.
JORDAN: I really felt your heart for worship as I was listening to your album. You know, I’ve listened to a lot of singers, and sometimes it can be more of a performance, and that’s fine. But when you hear the heart of a true worshipper, and you feel their heart for the Lord, you can connect to God in a different way, which is what it’s really about. It’s not about the performance; it’s about an experience with the Lord. JAVEN: That’s what worship means. Worship is about being open and willing to trust God. So, if you’re in a position where you don’t know what to do, and you can’t find the answers for finances, or for healing, or for whatever it might be, start worshipping. Then, God can come in and change things! JORDAN: That’s right. My Dad always says that worship sets the atmosphere for miracles. And that could mean a miracle in any part of your life. The Lord knows what you need, so as you set the atmosphere for that, then He can do the divine work in your life. JAVEN: Amen. JORDAN: You know, as you were singing earlier, I was just standing there listening and I was like, glory to God! Hallelujah! It made me want to worship too. JAVEN: That’s right. That’s what it’s supposed to do! JORDAN: All of a sudden, I found myself in the presence of God, and that’s what I like the most about
Worship is about being open and willing to trust God. your music. JAVEN: The Bible says that no man comes to God unless the Spirit draws him (John 6:44). And so, when we usher in an atmosphere of worship like this, it calls for the Spirit of God to show up. That’s why I always try to tell people to sing with us. JORDAN: Absolutely. JAVEN: Even if you’re watching a television show like The Place for Miracles or Make Your Day Count and there is worship going on, I encourage you to sing along. Even if you’re sitting on your couch, it doesn’t matter; start singing—because when you do that, the presence of God can come in and things can start changing in your life. JORDAN: Amen.
