City Winery Hudson Valley is truly a one of a kind venue. Located in our Village of Montgomery, it

is the first City Winery not in a city! The restored

130-year-old historic Mill has been transformed into a functioning winery with private events,

live music and more. Before you visit City Winery

Hudson Valley get to know the visionary and leader behind the brand, MICHAEL DORF!

Orange County Tourism's Chat With Michael Dorf Q: First things first. Favorite wine?

A: I love Pinot Noir, but like my children, very hard to name one as a favorite.

Q: We know that City Winery has typically built

their wineries in urban centers, what was the thinking behind the Village of Montgomery?

A: We needed a production facility close to NYC yet wanted it to be in the country. We also wanted a

spot where we can make wine and also entertain

around wine, taking our project to the next level. Montgomery is the perfect spot!

Q: Up until City Winery Hudson Valley, What City Winery location is your favorite?

A: Chicago. It was the second and is a very

Michael Dorf is quite the golfer. We won’t tell you exactly how impressive his game is, but we will share that he has a single digit handicap! Another fun fact, he’s an author! Check out his latest release, “Indulge Your Senses”.

DO YOU

BELIEVE? Strange lights, glowing objects, UFO sightings! There have been so many reports of these unusual phenomena in Pine Bush, a hamlet in the Orange County Town of Crawford, that it’s come to be known as the “UFO Capital of the East Coast.” Sightings peaked during the 1980s, but continue to this day.

True believers have been flocking to this little village since the early 1960’s. Serious visitors need only ask the locals for the latest sightings and where to see them year-round. One thing’s for sure, everyone will enjoy a day of family-friendly festivities at the annual Pine Bush UFO Fair. It’s been ranked one of the Best UFO Festivals in the world! Serious enthusiasts should plan to visit the Speakers Tent to hear some of the most notable speakers in the UFO world as they discuss Pine Bush, its UFO history and beyond. Please check website for details. www.pinebushufofair.com • 845-744-8230

Some speculate that mineral deposits in the Shawangunk Mountains attract the aliens; others attribute the strange lights to airplanes flying in formation above local airports. New York Stewart International Airport, formerly a West Point cadet aviation training airfield and a U.S. Air Force Base, is just a few miles away.
