Lancers in the White House

In May, the White House announced that Jake Olson ’16 (pictured at the White House with his family and guide dog, Quebec) has been appointed to the Presidential Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. Olson, who is blind, is a junior at USC and plays as a long snapper on the Trojans’ football team. He is also the coauthor of "Open Your Eyes: 10 Uncommon Lessons to Discover a Happier Life."

Additionally, Caroline Sunshine ’13 is serving as a press assistant at the White House. Prior to her current position, Sunshine interned for the Office of the House Majority Leader, the College Republican National Committee, and the California Republican Party. She attended Claremont McKenna College where she studied international relations and economics.
