50CELEBRATING ORANGE LUTHERAN STRENGTHENED BY CHRIST, PREPARED FOR LIFE!

Blessings, A NOTE FROM DR. MARY SCOTT

Do we have interesting classes and labs, quality teachers, great sports programs, and talented artists? Yes, we do! Will you get to study abroad, take mission trips, and participate in musicals? Yes, for sure! Can we be on campus full time, in a blended program, or fully online? Yes, you can!

Orange Lutheran High School has provided outstanding academic programs combined with rich co-curricular programs to help students and families know the Gospel message found only in Jesus Christ. It is our mission and guides our vision of the future, and we hope that you’ll join us on that journey.

Welcome 5

SCHOOLHIGHLUTHERANORANGE

Our foundation of Biblical truth and joy-filled relationships allows us to welcome people with open arms, no matter where they come from or what type of program they select.

I invite you to join us at OLu. The truth of abundant joy found in Christ strengthens us, and we will walk together as we prepare future generations for all that life brings to them. To God be the Glory!

Our understanding, belief, experience, and commitment to Biblical truth forms the foundation for the people you will develop relationships with while you are engaged at OLu. It is the premise from which our vision statement is crafted. In short, our vision is to be Christ-centered, providing multiple opportunities for transformation to serve the people of the world. Servant leadership is a concept that is more than 2000 years old, and it is what we bring to the Main Campus, North Campus, Lancer Ice Academy, and Thrift Shop today and into the future.

Mary K. Scott, ForCEO/ExecutiveEd.DDirector50yearsandcounting,

Our mission is to help students internalize the Gospel message of salvation in Christ Jesus, and we do that by fostering a safe, nurturing environment where all learners can thrive as they discover and develop their unique gifts, talents, and passions.

ON BLENDEDCAMPUS

Full-Time Online (FTO) students enjoy the highest level of flexibility and take their entire courseload through Orange Lutheran Online (OLO), a leader in online high school education for more than 20 years. For the student who participates in a highlycompetitive sport, works full-time, acts or models professionally, dances at a high level, lives outside of Orange County, or who simply wants to have more free time in their day, FTO is a great option. FTO is also ideal for students who have ongoing medical issues and cannot attend classes in person, as well as those who have a cumbersome commute to and from campus. All OLO courses are UC- and NCAA-approved, and students still receive personalized support from OLu faculty and staff.

Learners with special academic needs and diagnosed disabilities receive personalized support through the Department of Special Programs and Services (DSPS). Through customized coursework, DSPS educators help learners reach their graduation goals through accommodations in reading level, research expectations, note-taking requirements, and dedicated learning support services. ACCOMMODATING

The Blended learning option combines on-campus and online learning, offering the flexibility that families with unique circumstances are looking for. Students are a part of the Lancer community on campus while completing varying degrees of their course work online through Orange Lutheran Online, depending on which blended program they choose. Students on campus follow a “block” schedule, meaning that they attend up to four 75-minute classes each day in person. Students may choose to take HyFlex classes, which are personalized courses that combine in-class and online activities for a flexible, fun, and individualized learning experience. Each HyFlex course is specifically designed for the students in the course section and offer greater opportunities for one-on-one instruction between the teacher and student.
