GROWING FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH Orca has a track record of over 20 years as a leading sports apparel brand, predominantly in triathlon arena. Just as the triathlon embodies endurance, stamina and versatility, so does every piece in the Orca collection.

We have worked tirelessly over the past two decades to evolve, innovate and perform with our athletes. Today, Orca is recognized as the preferred brand amongst new entrant and professional triathletes around the globe.

Our story is unique: In 1992, our founder, former triathlon champion Scott Unsworth set up Performance Speedsuits Ltd in his native New Zealand, spurred by a passion to create better, faster wetsuits than those on the market.

Three years later, Performance Speedsuits was renamed. The Orca brand emerged, inspired by the instinct and prowess of this sleek, powerful ruler of the world’s oceans. Achieving the pinnacle of performance in challenging environments has, and always will be, our driving force. Our designs are organic and in tune with nature, with a firm focus on performance.

Our wetsuits became an immediate international success. Since the late ‘90s, Orca has been a trusted companion to swimmers, runners and cyclists around the world.

Over the years, we have developed and nurtured long-term relationships with our athletes. Their knowledge and expertise shapes our research and nourishes the development of our products. Our athletes are our inspiration. We strive to go further, faster.

DESCRIPTION Orca’s generation S-series speedsuit continues its evolution with the S5. While retaining many of the great features of the S4, the new S5 introduces a 5mm front panel from neck to mid-leg, increasing flexibility and buoyancy. The removal of a front seam ensures that it’s the most flexible wetsuit to date in this range. Like its predecessor, the S5 promises hydrodynamics, flexibility, buoyancy and durability. Its full neoprene coverage includes SCS coated 3-4mm Yamamoto 39-cell neoprene across the full front. 2mm Yamamoto 39-cell coated neoprene underarm and shoulder panels provides superb range of motion. DESCRIPTION The Orca Equip is ideal for those transitioning from the pool to open water, or unfamiliar with swimming in a wetsuit. 2-5mm premium quality SCS-coated Yamamoto 39-cell neoprene front panels ensure a range of motion normally associated with intermediate and top level wetsuits. 3-5mm Smooth Skin neoprene panels through the back add buoyancy, while Speed Transition panels aid transition times. The Equip’s Hydrostroke forearm panel has a distinctive silicone print, which catches the water through the pull phase of the stroke. The 2014 Equip’s redesigned torso panel also provides better body positioning, plus increased buoyancy through the waist and the thighs.

A multi-stretch lining makes the suit incredibly flexible. Refinements to the waist panel include extending it over the chest, while retaining its 5mm thickness to boost buoyancy.

Orca’s compression fabric uses a 70 denier, circular knit construction to provide optimum levels of muscle support and performance. Panels of Killaskn Kompress™ are shaped to provide graduated compression, increasing blood circulation and oxygenation and encouraging more rapid muscle recovery.

Killaskn Kompress™ is antibacterial, has UPF50+ protection and is ideal for use in next-skin-fabrics used for high energy activities, or pre and post exercise.

Panels of the new Tri-Enduro tricot mesh fabric are used across the back of garments for higher levels of breathability and moisture wicking. The high spandex content provides better levels of stretch recovery, while the nylon gives the mesh increased strength and a smoother hand feel.

Tri-Mesh uses a mix of polyester and spandex to wick moisture away from the body and provide increased breathablity for comfort during exercise.

The 100% chlorine resistant Cl-PRO Enduro fabric - a durable PBT Polyester/Polyester blend that resists the effects of chlorine and warm water. The long life fabric is water repellent and uses the latest chlorine resistant technologies to retain its structure and shape, and prevent colour fading, making it perfect for regular use in the pool.

Orca’s new CL-PRO Flex fabric combines a technical polyamide fibre with Xtra Life Lycra, which provides higher stretch and a softer hand feel than a 100% polyester swim fabric. HydroFlex is also breathable, efficiently wicks moisture, dries quickly, is anti-snag/pilling, and has UPF50+ protection.
