Welcome to the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment’s first full week of performances at our new Headquarters, Kings Place. To celebrate we’re playing the music of four great composers who have anniversaries of one kind or another this year: Henry Purcell, George Frederic Handel, Joseph Haydn and Felix Mendelssohn. Not only are these composers central to classical music, but also central to the OAE’s repertoire – music which the Orchestra excels in bringing vividly to life for today’s audiences. During the week we have events for everyone. Hour long concerts, with an associated talk about the music, a coffee concert, a family concert, a film and even a walk – plus tickets for some events are available from as little as £4.50. We hope you’ll join us! 1
