VEGETABLE MARINADE Combine 1 cup King’s Delight, 1/2 cups water, 2 tsp. salt, 1/4 cup sugar, and any herbs that strike your fancy...preferably fresh ones. Dill is especially good. You can marinate any kind of vegetables but do not marinate radishes and tomatoes as they tend to get soggy and "bleed" in color. They can be added at the last minute if you wish. Cauliflower, carrots, celery, mushrooms, etc., are all really good fixed like this and the longer they marinate, the better!

SHRIMP DELIGHT Clean and thoroughly devein 1 lb. of fresh shrimp. Make a marinade of: 1 cup King’s Delight, 3 garlic cloves chopped into tiny pieces, several dashes of Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup tomato ketchup, and 1/4 cup brown sugar. Mix well and pour over shrimp. Marinate for at least 2 or 3 hours, turning a couple of times. Broil until shrimp curls and is done. Serve with toothpicks. DELIGHT BURGERS Heat 1 tbs. of butter or vegetable oil in a skillet with 1 tbs. of King’s Delight. Cook hamburger patties in skillet, turning until brown. OIL & VINEGAR DRESSING Combine 6 oz. of cooking oil and 2 oz. water to 4 oz. King’s Delight. Add red food coloring for that festive look. This is a delicious yet low calorie dressing. BAR-B-Q FISH Place fish fillets (skin side down) in an aluminum tin with very small holes in the bottom. (Spanish mackerel is best but fresh Blue Fish or small Flounder will do fine.) Liberally pour melted butter over fillet. Shake about 2 oz. of King’s Delight from shaker bottle on fillet. Place fillets on charcoal grill. When about half done, baste and butter and shake King’s Delight on again. Cooking time will vary depending upon thickness of fillet but 5-8 minutes on average. (If you like onion, place 2 thin slices on top of fillet before butter and King’s Delight). CRUNCHY CHICKEN IMPERIAL Combine 1/2 pint sour cream, 2 tbs. King’s Delight , 1 tsp. lemon juice, 2 tsp. Worcestershire, 1 tsp. celery salt, 1 tsp. paprika, 1/2 tsp. garlic salt, 1/2 tsp. pepper. Mix well and marinate 8 chicken breasts overnight. The next day, roll the breasts in a meal made of Escort crackers and Pepperidge Farm Dressing mix. Put in a greased baking dish. Pour 1/2 cup melted butter combined with 2 tbs. King’s Delight over all. Bake at 350 °F (covered) for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
