THE DAILY EMERALD

The Daily Emerald is published by Emerald Media Group, Inc., the independent nonprofit media company at the University of Oregon. Formerly the Oregon Daily Emerald, the news organization was founded in 1900.

The Daily Emerald Photo Edition has been a standing tradition since we both joined the desk in 2022. It’s a great way to visually recap all that has happened in the past term and show off the incredible talent of the photojournalists on our staff. Serving as photo editors for the Daily Emerald has been an incredible way for us to dive even deeper into the world of photography. We have been so fortunate to lead an incredible group of photojournalists, whose work you are about to see on the pages before you. We feel immensely grateful for the opportunity to lead and help these photojournalists grow. The active Daily Emerald photo desk members for the fall term of 2023 are: Alex Hernandez, Alyssa Garcia, Eddie Bruning, Eliott Coda, Eric Becker, senior photographer Kai Kanzer, Kemper Flood, Lulu Devoulin, Romie Avivi Stuhl, Sebastian Flores, and Spencer So.
