LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Dear reader,

Another term has come and gone and another photo edition is upon us. Fall 2024 was a busy one for the Daily Emerald photo desk, and I’m extremely proud of all the images made by the desk. This visual term recap serves as a time capsule of everything that has happened on and around campus. It’s a pleasure to run a print edition that shows the artistic and journalistic effort put forth by the photo desk throughout the term.

This edition is bursting with wonderful photos by an incredibly talented desk. The desk is comprised of Alyssa Garcia, Anna Liv Myklebust, Ben Hutchison, Darby Winter, Eddie Bruning, Eric Becker, Jordan Martin, JR Quint, Julia Massa, Mason Burbey, Mason Cruz, Max Unkrich, Miles Cull, Morgan Jenkins, Roshni Ram, Rowan Campbell, Saj Sundaram,

Sebastian Flores and Spencer So. I can not forget to mention my wonderful Associate Photo Editor

Jonathan Suni. This desk wouldn’t be what it is or nearly as successful, and let’s be honest not as fun, as it has been without him. A big thank you to Suni for all of his time and work for the photo desk this term.

I am beyond grateful to be able to lead and encourage this amazing group of photojournalists. As you’ll see in this printed photo edition, there are some beautiful and striking photos taken by individuals on this desk. Take some time to relish in the beauty of photojournalism and take a look back on this eventful school year through the lens of the Emerald photo desk.

Keep creating, Molly McPherson Photo Editor
