2013 SEASON
2014 Season The 2014 NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field highlights another exciting schedule for Oregon track and field. The NCAA Championships will come to TrackTown for the 12th time, June 11-14, but fans won’t need to wait that long to see their Men and Women of Oregon compete as the Ducks will host four other events during the outdoor season. The Pepsi Arizona Dual is another marquee event on the Oregon schedule this season and will pit the Ducks against Pac-12 opponent, Arizona, April 5. It is expected to be the premier dual meet nationally this season as the men’s and women’s teams from both schools finished in the top 10 at last season’s NCAA Championships. Oregon will start the outdoor season at home with the Oregon Preview, March 22. The Ducks will then spend time in California for the San Diego Invitational which will consist of two separate meets over the course of three days. Following the Pepsi Arizona Dual, Oregon will host its annual Oregon Relays, April 17-19. A portion of the team will travel to the Mt. SAC Relays that same weekend.
Oregon Relays
A trip east to the 120th Penn Relays at Franklin Field will follow on April 24-26. The Oregon Twilight meet, May 9, will display both the present and past of Oregon Track and Field as a number of Duck alumni are expected to return. The Twilight meet will be the last tune-up for the Ducks before the Pac-12 Championships in Pullman, Wash., which begin with the combined events, May 10-11 and continue with the bulk of the meet, May 17-18. The NCAA West Regional Preliminary Rounds will take place May 29-31 at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark., leading up to a homecoming at the NCAA Championships. It will be the third time in five years that TrackTown has hosted the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Both the women’s and men’s teams finished with trophies last year, with third– and fourth-place finishes, respectively. Oregon will look to leave its mark again as 16 All-Americans return after their 2013 performances. Outside of the collegiate scene, TrackTown USA and Hayward Field will play host to the IAAF World Junior Championships this summer, July 22-27.
