Eugene Country Club The Eugene Country Club, organized in 1899, is the second oldest country club in the State, antedated only by Waverley of Portland. In 1912, the club was incorporated and acquired its first clubhouse on South Willamette Street. In 1923, the Young-Ford-McAllister properties were purchased and Chandler Egan, one of the nation’s greatest tournament golfers, was engaged to lay out a new 18-hole golf course. Over the years this course with its natural setting among tall firs and other scenic wonderments developed a reputation as one of the finest golf courses on the Pacific Coast.

Eugene Country Club

Host of the 2008 U.S. Women’s Amateur, the Eugene Country Club is consistently ranked top 100 in the nation, including 43rd nationally in 2006 by Golf week and 100th by Golf Digest. The private course is also the third ranked track in Oregon. It also hosted the 1991, 2000 and 2010 Women’s Pacific-12 Conference Championships, 1987 and 1997 Men’s Pacific-10 Championships, and the 1959 and 1978 Men’s NCAA Championships. The venue also has a covered teaching facility with a JC Video and TrackMan ball flight analysis system.

Shadow Hills

Pumpkin Ridge

Shadow Hills Country Club Shadow Hills is located in Junction City, just north of Eugene. The new facility will feature the team’s own side of the driving range and a teeing area 85 yards long, plenty of wedge targets, as well as a new short game area. Pumpkin Ridge Located in Cornelius southwest of Portland, these two courses opened in 1992 and have already hosted four U.S. championships – the 1997 and 2003 U.S. Women’s Open and 2000 USGA Junior Girls and Boys Championships (along with the 1993 and 1994 Nike Tour Championships). Golf Digest and Golf Magazine rank it in the top 100 courses in the United States. RiverRidge Golf Club Another popular Eugene golfing destination, this 18-hole, par-71 course blankets 107 acres next to the Willamette River in north Eugene. Known for its beauty and playability, the routing takes you over rolling terrain and through an arboretum sprinkled with over 120 varieties of trees. Sandpines Golf Links

Tokatee

Sandpines Golf Links Bringing the natural feel of the pine forest and crystal blue lakes into play on the outward nine gives one the feel of golf commonly found on the Monterey Peninsula or the woods of the Carolinas. The inward nine takes you back to golf’s more traditional arena - the links land. Using the natural lay of the land, Jones brought the dune element to the forefront of the game from tee to green. Challenging yet generous, this course offers beginners and experienced golfers alike a chance to test their skills and indulge their senses. Tokatee Golf Course Tabbed “One of the Best Courses You Can Play” and “America’s Best” in Golf Week magazine articles, this picturesque course is situated in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range. The par 72, 6,000-yard course is located about one hour east of Eugene on the historic and scenic McKenzie Highway.
