MAGICAL WEDDINGS IN
Central Oregon

C
entral Oregon holds a special place in the hearts of many, from the full-time residents and families who have called the region home for generations, to the newest visitors, experiencing this sunny pocket of Oregon for the first time. Here, free time often revolves around the outdoors and the experiences that take place in the stunning high desert and nearby forests. In the warmer months, Central Oregon is a sunny reprieve in a state otherwise known for its rainy weather. In the cooler months, snow-capped peaks in the distance offer a magical backdrop. Couples who choose to marry in Bend and the nearby communities in Central Oregon frequently come with an adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors, which is often incorporated into ceremonies. Guests might be invited to explore the region’s hikes and parks between events, food is often locally sourced from hardworking Central Oregon farmers and ranchers, and striking natural backdrops become the focal point for wedding photography. In the following pages, meet some of the couples who have recently said “I do” in Central Oregon. Many of the brides and grooms have grown fond of Central Oregon after years of visits or they call the region home and were excited to share it with friends and family. The ceremonies and receptions were made possible with the help of many local businesses and vendors, and highlight what makes Central Oregon special—with eco-friendly wedding favors, a barefoot bride and guests, local craft beers and hikes at Smith Rock incorporated into these weddings. Tying the knot in Central Oregon starts with finding inspiration to help envision how the day will look and feel. Hear from the couples themselves and their planners about the details and decision making that went into crafting these dream weddings.

A FOURTH OF JULY MARRIAGE ON THE METOLIUS

WEDDINGS | Emy & Dave
E
my and Dave Merritt met in Washington D.C. more than a decade ago when Emy was a senior at George Washington University, the same school Dave had recently graduated from. They fell in love, and Dave followed Emy to San Francisco after she finished school. “But then, as many young loves do, we broke up and went our separate ways,” Emy said. Seven years later, reconnected through weddings of mutual friends, the two rekindled their romance in the Bay Area. Emy is now a teacher focusing on outdoor education and Dave is a software engineer and part-time potter. Emy’s brother lives in Bend, and the couple began to visit Central Oregon regularly to enjoy time with family, spending the past couple of summers in town. It was during a whitewater kayaking trip down the McKenzie River when Dave proposed. “We spent the evening celebrating under the stars at Cougar Hot Springs,” Emy said. When it came to planning their wedding, the couple wanted a venue where nature took center stage. They decided on a Fourth of July wedding at House on the Metolius, an intimate, private retreat on the Metolius River in Camp Sherman. “The river, Mount Jefferson, the Ponderosas, it’s the most beautiful place we had ever been,” Emy said. “Aside from the property’s natural beauty, the ability to have so many close friends and family stay in the cabins or camp nearby was another huge draw.” The wedding was a full weekend experience for guests, who were encouraged to mingle and meet attendees they didn’t know through the use of name tags, group charades and tournament play of Kubb, a traditional Swedish game. highdesertweddings.com | High Desert Weddings 2022

WEDDINGS | Emy & Dave
Other aspects of the wedding that paid homage to Emy’s Swedish heritage included a toast with shots of aquavit (Scandinavian liquor) rather than champagne and a flower crown station by Bloomstra Floriography for guests to make their own flower crowns. Dave, who Emy describes as a “cocktail genius” pre-mixed cocktails, while a friend of the couple helped source wines from the Pacific Northwest and favorite travel destinations. Wedding planner Emily Gylling of Ponderosa Planning said the wedding was full of fun highlights, including a friend of the couple playing “The Star Spangled Banner” for the recessional, the couple jumping into the chilly river in their wedding clothes (and then again in their birthday suits), and the wedding party rushing the dance floor to kick off the party. “I love that they’re both dreamers,” Gylling said. “They are level headed and smart, but also know how to channel their inner child to just play and have fun and be joyous. That was what made their wedding so special.”

ature and sustainability were key themes of Alex and Wolf Porter’s enchanting late spring wedding at Lake Creek Lodge. The quaint venue in Camp Sherman offers cabins and gathering spaces situated on either side of the south fork of Lake Creek, which joins the Metolius River about a quarter-mile east of the lodge.
The couple met during a cold, winter climbing trip at Joshua Tree National Park. “He helped me use the manual settings on my camera to capture a beautiful pink sunset,” Alex said. Both outdoor enthusiasts and climbers, the couple moved to Central Oregon after graduation from the University of Oregon to ski and climb, and were excited to create a wedding weekend that captured their love for nature and the outdoors. “Wolf and I fell in love in forests and deserts and mountains and rivers. It was like our religion and felt so important to include in our wedding,” Alex said. “We wanted a destination wedding that felt incredibly approachable, where folks felt comfortable.” The couple planted flowers down the pathway to the ceremony and worked with a florist to create a wildflower-filled paradise for the big day, encouraging guests to go barefoot and enjoy the forested setting. “They tried to tread a lighter footprint for their wedding day—literally by being barefoot the majority of the day—which also encouraged guests to kick off their shoes and enjoy the forest floor beneath their feet,” said planner Abby Torchio of ae creative.

Large and small elements of sustainability were present at the wedding, from the custom-made camping mugs that served as drinking vessels and wedding favors, to the locally grown flowers and locally sourced foods, to the fact that no singleuse plastics were used. Even the itinerary for the weekend was displayed on a chalkboard, rather than a new, single-use sign board. The venue offers twenty-one cabins on site, with a mix of historic 1920s structures and newer cabins, built between 2005 and 2014. With the exception of a “choose your own adventure” time the day before the ceremony, guests were mostly invited to remain at Lake Creek Lodge through the long wedding weekend, enjoying morning coffee from an espresso cart, time in the pool, shared meals and social time, along with nearby hiking and exploration of the Camp Sherman area. ydney Cejka and Christine De Carlo met in New York City in 2016, when both were attending school to become physician’s assistants. The two met during their first semester and bonded over the challenges of a grueling school program. “We would stay up until 2 in the morning chugging energy drinks to wake up at 8 a.m. and take an exam, then sit through lectures all day,” Cejka said. “Our free time and money was slim, so getting through this I think showed us we could do anything together.” Cejka grew up in Richland, Washington and De Carlo always thought of herself as a “PNW gal in a concrete jungle” so after graduation in January 2019, they left the city and headed west. While they settled in Washington, the couple took their wedding as an opportunity to show friends and family one of their favorite Pacific Northwest vacation destinations—Central Oregon. Growing up, Cejka took spring break trips with her family to Sunriver, skiing on Mount Bachelor and spending time with family friends, and as adults, the region became a favorite destination for her and De Carlo. “What’s not to love about Bend,” Cejka said. “Year-round activities, the food scene and Christine’s favorite, the breweries.” The couple chose Central Oregon’s Long Hollow Ranch as the location for their destination wedding, using the wedding weekend as an opportunity to introduce guests to some of the couple’s favorite places. Pre-wedding activities included visits to Bend’s Silver Moon Brewing and Spider City Brewing, and a hike with the brides at Smith Rock State Park. The ceremony and reception took place on the grounds surrounding the 100-year-old barn at the ranch in Sisters, offering a rustic and romantic backdrop for the evening. The couple said “I do” under towering pine trees before enjoying dinner from El Sancho and then hitting the dance floor. Many guests were shuttled to and from the party from Mount Bachelor Village Resort on Bend’s west end. “Being surrounded by our favorite people was the best thing. Our family and friends drove in from all over the country, and their love and commitment didn’t go unnoticed,” Cejka said. “Central Oregon is great. The hikes, breweries, restaurants and everything Bend has to offer is very much a

part of who we are and what we value.” With the ceremony behind them, the couple started the process of changing both their last names to De Cejka. “We wanted to honor the idea of us coming together and beginning our new life together, so we settled on combining our two last names into one.” WEDDING TEAM

lowing rivers, beautiful vineyards, lush parks, distant snow-capped peaks and endless desert vistas are what make Bend and the surrounding communities a sought-after wedding location for locals and out-of-towners alike. Whether a close-to-town venue with easy accessibility and nearby or on-site lodging is desired, or a setting with more rural charm is what you’re after, Central Oregon has dozens of venue options worthy of consideration. Spectacular venues in nature such as Smith Rock State Park in Terrebonne draw couples seeking awe-inspiring backdrops for ceremonies and elopements. Tying the knot at these unique outdoor locales offers unforgettable photos for those who are willing to tread lightly and respect the natural landscapes. Choosing a venue can be one of the most important decisions in the wedding planning process, and it’s often one of the first decisions made. When selecting a venue in Central Oregon, consider the on-site amenities, proximity to lodging and in-town conveniences, options for vendors and overall venue size. Some venues are the perfect choice for intimate ceremonies and smaller receptions, while others are flexible to accommodate large gatherings. Some offer a full-service experience without the need for much decision making, while other venues allow a couple to customize each and every detail. While exploring the venues of Central Oregon, look for a setting that aligns with your wedding vision, personal style and desired aesthetic for the ceremony and reception—whether that’s a rural barn in nearby farmland, a venue with panoramic desert views, an intimate forested scene with Cascade Range views or a modern, indoor space. Take time to explore the venues of the region before choosing the perfect location to say “I do.”

Golf courses are a draw for many of the Central Oregon resorts that host weddings, including Pronghorn, a green oasis in the high desert northeast of Bend.
Lodging On-Site
Central Oregon resorts offer convenient on-site lodging and all-inclusive experiences, making for easier planning and logistics for guests. Seventh Mountain Resort is nestled in the Deschutes National Forest on the southwest side of Bend, offering a lodge atmosphere and easy access to outdoor

activities for guests before or after the wedding day. The nearby Mount Bachelor Village Resort offers a theater venue and facility rental for receptions. Reserve a cluster of vacation rentals, and guests can enjoy the amenities of Eagle Crest, a scenic resort community north of Bend.
Vineyard Venues
Vineyards have long been a popular choice for a scenic outdoor wedding, and Central Oregon offers its own selection of wineries to tie the knot. Faith Hope and Charity Vineyards has a 15-acre vineyard as part of its 300-acre property in Terrebonne. Maragas Winery north of Terrebonne offers gorgeous vineyard views and Ranch at the Canyons is nearby right at the base of Smith Rock State Park. COCKTAILS, BREWS & MORE TO SIP ON THE BIG DAY Local Libations
Central Oregon is known for its impressive craft beer scene with more than thirty breweries calling the region home. It’s also home to many local distillers like Crater Lake Spirits in Bend, Gompers Gin in Redmond and Badlands Artisan Distillery in La Pine, among others. Local wines? There’s Faith Hope & Charity Vineyards in Terrebonne and Maragas Winery near Smith Rock (also wedding venues) or Lava Terrace Cellars out of Bend. Long story short, there are ample ways to incorporate local beverages into your wedding here.
Mobile Bars
A quirky or Western-themed mobile bar can not only serve thirsty guests, but it can add something special to the wedding décor. More than a few of these mobile drink stations are parked in Central Oregon, ready to roll up to nearby venues. The Tipsy Lemon out of Redmond operates “Squeezy,” a 1966 vintage Aladdin trailer renovated into a mobile bar. Tumbleweed is a horse trailer turned mobile bar, perfect for weddings with country flair. New additions include Miley, a 1970’s horse trailer turned beverage bar from Lifted Spirits Co. and The Bevy PNW, a Piaggio Ape vehicle from Italy outfitted to serve up drinks.
Signature Drinks
Offering two unique signature drinks representing the tastes of the couple is a growing tradition at weddings. Put a spin on the concept with a nod to our four-legged companions who can’t always attend the ceremony by offering guests cocktail choices named after the dogs of the family. It’s a move the dog lovers of Central Oregon will appreciate. Need bartenders? Bend’s Crafted Life offers full bar service to craft your signature drinks.
Non-Alcoholic
Some guests will skip wedding libations and others may be looking for a pick-me-up or refreshing beverage away from the bar. Keep the party lively with an espresso bar that includes Italian sodas, one of many “bar” services offered by Pacific Perks, which operates in the Portland area and Bend. Many of the mobile bar setups also offer mocktails options, for fun, alcohol-free drinks to enjoy. Photography: Victoria Carlson | Designer & Planner: ae creative Calligraphy: My Fair Letters

Beyond the Cake INDULGE IN A DIFFERENT KIND OF DESSERT
Many couples are opting to forgo traditional wedding cakes for unique dessert options, with everything from cupcakes and pies to donuts and ice cream making its way into receptions.
Donut Dreams
For a unique twist on wedding cake, opt for a cakey, frosty selection of donuts, best displayed on a donut wall. A big board with hooks can showcase the donuts individually, with guests grabbing the treat of their choice. Some boards are decorated with fun phrases, like “holy matrimony” or “donut mind if I do.” In Central Oregon, some of the tastiest donuts around come from The Dough Nut, with two locations in Bend. For more options, try Sweetheart Donuts, Delish Donuts or Richard’s Donuts & Pastries, all in Bend.
Get the Scoop
Ice cream, anyone? Book Addy Mac’s 1963 Ford dairy truck out of Bend for a creamy, cool treat guests are sure to remember. Pick from flavors such as peanut butter Oreo, roasted strawberry with buttermilk, milk chocolate or salted vanilla. Nothing can beat the cute photo ops with ice cream cones, just watch for drips! There’s also the scoop truck, available from Bontà Natural Artisan Gelato. It’s a 1957 International Harvester Metro Milk Truck, great for wedding and event rentals.
More Desserts to Try
Tailor-made dessert tables from Bend’s Dreamin’ Desserts can feature an array of mini desserts like cookies, tartlets, cupcakes and pastries, which can be displayed with a cutting cake just for the couple. Bend’s Farmhouse Pies uses locally sourced ingredients for their pies and crumbles, with flavors including marionberry and apple.
A Little Cake for All
Cupcakes are a go-to option for couples that want a slightly different take on tradition. In Redmond and Bend, Ida’s Cupcake Café takes the cake for a tasty local option, with choices of various cake flavors, frosting and sprinkles chosen by the couple at a tasting beforehand. Ida’s offers many gluten-free and vegan options, and they have regular wedding cakes, too. More traditional wedding cake options in Central Oregon include Foxtail Bake Shop, Too Sweet Cakes and Crumb Cakery.

Dazzling Dining
FROM FOOD TRUCKS TO FARM-TO-TABLE CUISINE Central Oregon’s sandy high desert and chilly nights can provide a challenging environment for cultivating fresh ingredients, but still the region abounds with some of the most diverse agriculture and culinary offerings in the state. Let local ingredients and unique tastes take center stage.
Truck It
Central Oregon is home to hundreds of food trucks, many offering catering or mobile services for events, including weddings. While normally parked at Spoken Moto, A Broken Angel offers savory vegan comfort food, made from scratch. When couples book Cody’s Country Catering, owner and chef Cody Serbus sets up an open flame barbecue to grill up tri-tip, chicken, Kailua pork or salmon, along with veggies and other sides served buffet style or as a plated meal.
Resort Cuisine
One perk of a full-service resort wedding is the thoughtfully considered catering that’s taken care of. Resorts including Sunriver, Tetherow and Black Butte Ranch handle catering for weddings on site, and guests can expect a dining experience that reflects the culinary charm of Central Oregon. Expect locally sourced and seasonal ingredients as part of extensive catering menus to pick and choose from.
Call the Caterer
Many catering services in the region exclusively service weddings and events. Organic and locally sourced foods are a staple for chef Gene Soto, co-owner of Bend’s popular Bowtie Catering Co., which offers a unique menu, with options like mini kimchi hot dog appetizers and entrees of grilled Korean-style short ribs or king salmon. Like many caterers, Tate and Tate catering out of Bend offers suggested menus and packages to keep planning simple, allowing couples to choose from a selection of appetizers, sides and entrees. Blue Bite Catering offers a standard wedding package with add-ons such as a non-alcoholic beverage station with gingerberry spritzer and minted lemonade.
Unique & Authentic
Central Oregon’s culinary scene goes beyond Pacific Northwest flavors, with many varieties of cuisine readily available locally for wedding catering. West Bend’s Kebaba offers modern Middle Eastern food for catering, including falafels, gyros, kebabs, shawarmas and babaganoush, with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. F
loral arrangements can be among the most important design element of a wedding, playing a vital role in the overall style of the event and bringing a level of elegance to the atmosphere. When planning this aspect of a wedding, couples should take the time to understand the costs involved with floral design and arrangement, as they’re often much higher than anticipated. “There’s definitely a sticker shock moment,” said Summer Robbins, a Bend-based florist who specializes in floral arrangements for weddings and who is a preferred vendor for many of the region’s resort venues. Robbins explained that flower arrangements for weddings carry a higher price tag than the type of bouquet you might pick up from a grocery store or farmers market, because of the high-end flowers used and complexity of sought-after floral installations that are more time and labor intensive to create than simpler tabletop settings.
Farm-Fresh
Most of the flowers making their way to weddings in Central Oregon are coming from out of the area, primarily from wholesale suppliers in the Portland area. Some local farmers do take advantage of the Central Oregon growing season to provide locally grown arrangements in the summer. These
farms offer their own wedding floral design and work with other florists to provide locally grown flowers. Sweet Posy is an heirloom flower farm on Deschutes Market Road in Bend that offers full service floral design for weddings or a smaller a la carte service for select items like bouquets and centerpieces. Another high desert floral farm and flower studio, Roots Wild offers a flower CSA program, runs a booth at the Bend Farmers Market and offers wedding floral design.
Matching Vibes
Central Oregon is home to a handful of established floral designers, each offering their own qualities and style. Pinterest and Instagram are great for inspiration, but don’t often include pricing, so researching local options and developing an understanding of what’s within budget early on is good practice. When choosing a florist in Central Oregon, browse websites and social media feeds to get an understanding of each company’s aesthetic and costs. Reach out early to florists to understand their process and pricing, choose a vendor with a style that matches that of the couple and the wedding, and let the creativity bloom. Picture Perfect
CAPTURING MEMORIES THROUGH PHOTO & VIDEO Long after the sun sets over the mountains and family heads home, photos and video can live on. Photography and videography capture feelings, the work put into planning and preparing, and even the little moments the couple might have missed. Choosing the right photographer can ensure the memories and magic of the wedding day are remembered forever. Central Oregon is home to dozens of talented photographers, each with their own niches and talents, so begin by researching portfolios and social media profiles to see various styles and then set up meetings in pursuit of the right fit.
Choosing a Photographer
The first step in selecting the right photographer is finding someone whose energy and style matches well with the couple, according to Hannah Turner, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Bend. “You end up spending your whole day with your photographer by your side—from getting ready to your most personal moments—so it’s really important to find someone you really jive with,” Turner said. “You want to make sure the person is adding the right type of energy to your day and that completely depends on you.” Consider whether the preference is a photographer who hangs in the background or one who takes charge of the day, as well as whether the desired photos involve more candid shots or more set up, posed takes. High-energy photos of the wedding party jumping into the air or acting silly aren’t right for every group, but can make unforgettable photos for a lively bunch. Often a wedding photographer is the one to take engagement photos months earlier, which
54

can be a great way to build a relationship with between the couple and photographer, leading to a smoother wedding day.
Camera-Ready Venues
Central Oregon’s outdoor spaces are the focus on many of the region’s wedding venues, making the area a great place to capture photos and video. Many venues also offer diversity in the surrounding landscapes, with green areas, rocks, desert and forest. “At most of the wedding venues there is often some green space with aspens and a garden and then a beautiful desertscape—often within a few feet of each other, which allows for so much diversity of backgrounds and is something truly unique to Central Oregon,” Turner said. Venues like FivePine Lodge in Sisters among the pine trees and log cabins or Ranch at the Canyons in Terrebonne with its Tuscan village vibe are dreamy locations for photographers like Erica Swantek, a Bend-based photographer who specializes in outdoor weddings and elopements. “Central Oregon is a gorgeous place to get married, especially if you love the outdoors,” Swantek said. “The mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, pine trees and desert are all beautiful backdrops for your wedding photos.”
Photo Fun for Guests
Beyond the professional photography and videography taking place, more weddings are adding ways for guests to contribute to the photographic fun

of the day. Leave out instant cameras with mini Polaroid-style photos for guests to create a photo guestbook, or place disposable cameras on each table for guests to use. Friends and family will love the opportunity to goof off in a photo booth with backdrops and props, like those offered by Dashoots Photobooth, Adventure Box Photo Booth or PhotoLounge, all out of Bend. For more character, book Ruby, a red 1971 VW bus turned rental photo booth or Juniper, a vintage photo booth trailer, both based in Central Oregon. Arguably one of the most important decisions a bride will make is choosing a dress that she loves, but it can be an overwhelming task. In Central Oregon, brides may want to consider the setting of the wedding, the time of year and the expected weather. The same goes for hair and makeup—brides are wise to choose styles that reflect their own tastes, make them feel beautiful and will hold up when facing the Central Oregon outdoors.
Shop Strategically
When choosing which bridal stores to visit and arrange try-on appointments with, don’t go overboard, said Jenn Nichols, owner of Bend’s Bespoke Bride. Pick two or three shops at the most, to avoid having too many choices. “We see so many brides get exhausted and confused the more they shop,” Nichols said. She also recommends shopping early, as sometimes dresses can take six to eight months to arrive, followed by another six to eight weeks needed for the alterations process. “Nothing is worse than stressing if your dress will make it in time, so get it checked off your list early in your planning,” she said. While brides can try on an endless number of pretty dresses, Nichols recommends choosing a dress that makes you feel excited to get married in. “Trust your gut,” she said. “If the dress makes you feel beautiful and excited to get married in it, don’t be afraid to trust that feeling and just say ‘yes.’”
Choose Complementary Colors
Couples getting married in Central Oregon often choose to do so because of the beautiful outdoor landscapes, include the rugged high desert, the dense forests and the backdrop of the Deschutes River or a mountain lake. When choosing wedding party colors, consider which colors complement the wedding and the scenery. Colors like sage green and terracotta can serve up a boho vibe and pair well with the region’s rocky landscapes and plentiful greenery.
Consider the Forecast
Central Oregon is known for warm, summer days, occasional evening breezes and cool nights. “We get winds, it gets dry and it can snow, all in one day,” said Christine Colucci, a hair and makeup professional and owner of Makeup Mafia. Colucci said she does ninety percent of each person’s makeup and then finishes with touchups, as well as offering products for girls to hang onto and perform their own makeup touchups later in the day. She also uses weatherproofing spray on hairstyles.
Natural Touch
In Central Oregon, many brides are opting for makeup that gives off a more natural look, versus more glamorous makeup that might be more popular for weddings in cities. Many brides want to show off healthy skin and a neutral style that is just a more polished version of their regular look, said Lori Marshall, owner of Edge Hair & Makeup in Bend. “They want to be the best versions of themselves,” Marshall said. “Like they just woke up and looked beautiful today.” Marshall said it’s important to choose a hair and makeup professional with an understanding for how makeup looks in photographs and how it stays in place over several hours. Because of Central Oregon’s photogenic outdoor landscapes, many couples spend a lot of their day doing photography, and it’s important to have makeup and hair that will last from late morning until late at night.

BACHELOR & BACHELORETTE PARTIES

Party Time
BACHELOR & BACHELORETTE PARTIES IN BEND Endless activities, plenty of lodging and lively nightlife have made Bend and surrounding Central Oregon a destination for bachelor and bachelorette parties. It’s convenient for those who already live here and a short three-hour drive from the Portland area. In 2021, Bend was named the number one destination for bachelor parties by Men’s Journal, and it’s unusual not to catch a matching group of bachelorette party ladies out on a weekend night in the summer. So, what’s all the fuss about?
Outdoor Pursuits
Central Oregon has an impressive array of activity options, from sporty outdoor recreation to organized tours to golf and tubing. A float down the Deschutes River through town is a low-cost group activity perfect for warm summer days. Golfers will love the thirty courses within 30 miles of Bend, most offering a tasty 19th hole option for food and drinks and many with lodging on-site or close by. Guided tours range from wild ATV outings to kayaking to the popular CyclePub, which allows a group of riders to pedal through town and explore the region’s craft brewing scene.
Relax & Rejuvenate
Bend’s Old Mill District can serve as a one-stop shop for a bachelorette outing. Stop by the newly opened Sephora for facials, makeup and goody

bags, Lush for handmade cosmetics or the nearby Radiant Day Spa for more pampering. The Old Mill District is also home to group exercise classes through Orangetheory Fitness and Cyclebar, as well as athleticwear stores like Lululemon and Athleta. New in 2021 is the Rapa Nui Tiki Lounge, which serves picture-perfect island-inspired cocktails. Or for wine tasting, the Old Mill District offers two wine tasting rooms—Evoke Winery and Va Piano Vineyards—and the Box Factory area a short walk away has three more places to sip on wine—Bledsoe Family Winery, Stoller Wine Bar and Elixir Wine Group.
Dining & Drinking
Bend is home to a robust culinary scene and an impressive assortment of craft breweries, distilleries and bars, meaning plenty of options for a night out. Book a table at the Cajun-influenced Zydeco Kitchen & Cocktails downtown, enjoy Deschutes River views and hot Thai soup in the swanky new Sen Thai Noodles & Hot Pot or opt for delicious pub fare at Bend Brewing Company or Deschutes Brewery Bend Public House downtown. Sip on handcrafted cocktails at Dogwood, Velvet or San Simón. Walking distance to downtown are the popular Box Factory and Galveston Avenue areas, which both offer more options for dining and drinking.
ENGAGEMENT
Saying yes... ...is just the beginning of a high desert wedding.
