CORVALLIS TO THE COAST

Experience the Oregon Coast Range like never before on the Corvallis-to-the-Sea (C2C) Trail. Whether on foot or bike, headed out for a day hike or taking a week off work for a thru-hike, you’ll find what you’re looking for here. The entire route, running from Corvallis to the Pacific Ocean is about sixty-two miles and entirely open to hikers, with some sections, but not yet all areas, open to bikers or horses on a seasonal basis. Experience deep forests, open vistas and a variety of wildlife and forestry. The trail traverses through the Oregon Coast Range, forests and wildflowers, with more than a dozen access points on Forest Service land. Camping is currently available at the mid-point of the trail at the Big Elk Campground and at the Benton County Fairgrounds. Dispersed camping is also allowed on Forest Service lands along the trail. Establishing the trail was a seventeen year undertaking led by the non-profit Corvallis-to-the-Sea (C2C) Trail Partnership. The work involved cooperation and support from private landowners, local governments and the U.S. Forest Service. Much of the path is on old gravel logging roads and other sections were established by dedicated volunteers.
