Tourism and hospitality is one of our county’s top industries. Tourism Supports Our Community
Tourism Drives Economic Prosperity in Washington County
Tourism creates jobs, drives the local economy, enhances lifestyle and culture, and helps to support local government programs, nonprofits, and local businesses.
Hotels, motels, vacation rentals and other lodging properties are integral to our region’s economy, generating transient lodging taxes (TLT) that benefit our communities.
What is the Washington County Visitors Association (WCVA)? The WCVA is an inclusive non-membership destination organization dedicated to marketing and promoting our region as a desirable location for business and leisure travel, meetings and events, and sporting events. It markets the destination as “Tualatin Valley.” As a not-for-profit organization, the WCVA is fully funded by transient lodging taxes (TLT), a tax paid by visitors who stay in Washington County. Partnership opportunities are offered to tourism-related businesses at no cost.
