1.1 Air permeability. The facade will be at least air permeability class AE750, EN 12152 Curtain walling - Air permeability Performance and requirements. System features must be certified by a laboratory test conducted according to the test method of the UNI EN 12153 Curtain walling. 1.2 Water tightness. The facade will be at least of class RE750 water resistance according to the UNI EN 12154 Curtain walling - Waterproofing- Performance requirements and classification. 1.3 Wind resistance. The curtain wall , tested in the laboratory using the method in standard EN 12179 Curtain Walls - Wind resistance Test method , must be able to withstand adequately the wind pressure of the project ( service load ) , applied both in pressure and vacuum , and must be able to transfer fully such action to the structure load-bearing of the building by means of appropriate anchor links. The wind load of the projectshould be in accordance with applicable national law and under this action the maximum elastic deformation ( measured at right angles to the facade plane ) of the frame members , will not be greater than 1/200 of the measured distance between two successive points of constraint to the building structure and in any case not exceed the limit of 15 mm , in accordance with EN 13116-indicators of the glass facade.

1.4 Thermal insulation. The curtain wall must have overall average thermal transmittance U, not more than 2.2 W /m2K calculated according to the procedure specified by prEN 13947 Curtain walling - Calculation of thermal transmittance - Simplified method. 1.5 Monitoring of water vapor permeability The facade, and each individual parts, its fixed part and openable, must be designed and built in such a way as to ensure the control of the water vapor permeability, in order to avoid the possible formation of interstitial and surface condensation. 1.6 Resistance to permanent and accidental loads The curtain wall must be designed and built to support its own weight in addition to any other accidental vertical load provided by the design. These loads must be transferred completely to the load-bearing structure of the building by the facade constraints. The maximum elastic deformation (measured in the facade plane) of the horizontal elements of the frame under the action of vertical loads must not exceed 1/500 of the free light of inflection and in any case be less than 3 mm.The curtain wall must be designed and built to support in an appropriate manner a horizontal accidental load applied to a 1.20 m height. A double panel window with the same structural and physical values of a double skin façade. This new type of window combines an inward opening sash with a parallel projecting sash.
