Oriane Daley

I recently graduated from University at Buffalo with a bachelor of science in Architecture. In my last year of architecture studio work there is an emphasis on sustainable design solutions. Three portfolios (The Interpretive Center, Reuse Proposal for the Monteverde Friend's School, and Instalaciones Para Todos) each present studio work aimed at proposing new alternatives for various ongoing planning and architectural projects in the Monteverde community of Costa Rica. Den(c)ity continues my investigation into sustainable design and technologies in a proposal for a mixed-use building in downtown Bufalo, New York. Since these “green” projects, two purposes of design have personally remained most meaningful : designing for efficiency and designing for people. More specifically, I am interested in the relationship between human factors research and human-computer interaction design. I am looking for opportunities to work on design or research projects in this area.
