MPHTC’s National MWellness Day reaches thousands

The Philippines’ first nationwide online medical mission, National MWellness Day, took place on 4 and 5 September 2021. MPHTC provided free consultations with medical experts via the mWell app.

Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Dr. Melani Camarillo Espino volunteered her expertise for the excellent cause of granting free access to consultations nationwide, even in remote rural areas. She explained to the Manila Bulletin, “Using mWell is just like making a private house call with my patients from the comforts of their homes. The flow of my virtual consultations is smooth, plus I gained more patients through the app.”

AT A TIME OF HEIGHTENED ANXIETY Kara David, founder of Project Malasakit, who hosted a segment of the online activities added, “As caretakers, guardians, or as a parent, the anxiety and challenges of getting quality medical care is heightened especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first ever virtual medical mission by MWell PH brings health and wellness closer to people.”

On 8 September 2021, Cardinal Santos Medical Center (“CSMC”) officially launched its Sports Medicine Institute. Named “The MVP Clinic,” it is dedicated to MPIC Chairman and sports patron Manuel V Pangilinan. The institute is designed to support Pangilinan’s vision to nurture top Filipino athletes in their global initiatives.
