A Multidisciplinary Approach in Orthodontics for Complex Cases

WELCOME

Attendees will be given the tools, techniques and confidence to treat difficult cases in their own practices. You will learn the importance of an interdisciplinary treatment approach, a careful diagnosis and how to screen patients to select cases suitable for invisible orthodontic therapy with or without using mini-implants, with or without extractions, with or without orthognathic surgery.

Secondly, you will also learn how to deal with General Dentists on the space management for implants, the requirements for implants, the need for bone augmentation procedures, mucogingival surgery, and how to optimize the results of an orthodontic treatment with Veneers.

■ Graduated in Dentistry at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy

■ 1995/1996 research fellow at the orthodontic department of the Humboldt University, Berlin

■ Completed specialization in orthodontics at the Royal Dental College, University of Aarhus/Denmark

■ Assistant Professor in the Orthodontic Departments of the Universities of Pavia and Insubria, Varese/Italy

■ Visiting professor at the University of Aarhus/Denmark and at the Temple University of Philadelphia/USA

■ published more than 100 papers; co-editor of two journals «Orthodontics» and «Ortodonzia Clinica» and member of the editorial board of «Progress in Orthodontics»

■ Research associate of the journals «American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics», «Angle Orthodontist», «European Journal of Orthodontics», «Orthodontics and Craniofacial Research» and «Ortognatodonzia Italiana»

■ Member of the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), the European Orthodontic Society (EOS), Angle‘s Society (Nord Atlantic Group), the Italian Orthodontic Society (SIDO) and the Italian Society of Lingual Orthodontics and Esthetics (SIOLE)

■ Graduated in Dentistry at the University of Milan, Italy

■ Senior Fellow of the ITI (Intenational Team for Implantology), coordinator of the ITI Study Club Milan and past chairman of the Italian Section of the ITI

■ Active member of the the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO)

■ Member of the Italian Society of Periodontology, member of the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry

■ Author or co-author of multiple scientific papers about implantology and regenerative surgery published on various peer-reviewed journals

■ Co-author of 12 text-books about implantology, pre-implant surgery and oral surgery, available in English and several other languages, including ITI Treatment Guides volume 4, 5, 7, 10, 12 and 13.

■ Jointly with Daniele Cardaropoli, Paolo recently published the textbook «Pink Esthetic and Soft Tissues in Implant Dentistry» available in 5 languages.

■ His main fields of interest are the surgical and prosthetic aspects of Implantology, Periodontology and Prosthetic Rehabilitation in Advanced and Esthetically demanding cases. He has extensively lectured on these topics in more than 50 countries in Europe, Middle East, United States, South America and Asia.
