editors/ note We live in a busy bustling world, a world full of deadlines and empty Starbucks cups. But it’s nice, every once in a while, to take a break from our hectic schedules and venti skinny vanilla lattes to just take it easy. Cue this month’s feature city, Savannah, Georgia. The south is known for its hospitality and charm, and in that department Savannah definitely doesn’t disappoint. A short daytime stroll through the city’s historic, tree lined streets takes you back to a simpler time. With centuries old architecture all around, a canopy of Spanish moss above head, and abounding southern greetings, it’s easy to forget what year it is, which makes Savannah the perfect juxtaposition for the Jones & Bull blogger special. Here at Jones & Bull we believe in the beautiful, but we also believe in the attainable. This month we traded models for local Savannah bloggers, to show our readers how everyday people achieve sartorialist style. From music to night life to restaurants to shopping we uncovered all of Savannah’s best kept secrets, and we’re sharing them with you! So take a moment to adopt a little bit of slow, southern style and join us on a tour through springtime in the hostess city of the south.

music/ STOPOVER MUSIC FESTIVAL
obsessions here are the things we’ve been loving lately from music to shops, we’re showing you all the best savannah has to offer. hopefully you’ll love them just as much as we do.

It is almost here! Savannah’s much anticipated musical gathering is days away. The Savannah Stopover Music Festival, here March 6-8, is coming into its fourth year and is quickly gaining traction. Stopover this year is featuring a line up for everyone; contemporary, electric, southern, alternative. There does not seem to be much missing. Like every year shows will be taking place at venues all over Savannah; commencing around 2 p.m. and lasting throughout the night. Get your ears and koozies ready because spring is coming and it is time to jam. Who I’m looking forward to most at the Stopover: Matrimony This band is a talented mix of folk and indie rock. Be sure to catch their show at the Stopover.
Singing Into Spring With Thao and The Get Down Stay Down It’s a sunny Saturday; I am driving to Savannah’s Tybee beach, and singing along to my latest musical obsession Thao and the Get Down Stay Down. The San Francisco, California-based, folk rock group released their third full-length album, We the Common, in February of last year. It has taken time for this group to gain fame in the south but with winter fading away and nation-wide word of the group increasing, Thao’s timeless sound deserves the intro to my spring. The album focuses on the desires to be a human who tries and who desires a deeper relationship with those around, the perfect spring resolution. I encourage those looking for a new sound to try Thao out. Your spring will be like no other before.
Local Savannah Sounds Savannahians have been producing a sound of their own as well. Triathalon is a Savannah based band consisting of four Savannah College of Art and Design students. These guys have been making their surf and soul sound since 2011 and have become a local favorite. They will be featured in the upcoming Savannah Stopover festival. If you’re in town, I’d say it’s a show to catch. /11
EAT/
After a hard day, have this wonderful Rustica burger with their home-slice french fries and a bottle of Reed’s ginger brew. With the smell of fresh basil, the whole flavor of this burger totally makes it stand out! They have lots of things home-made, especially their ketchup is different from the usual one, with more sour and spicy flavor. After this meal, you probably would like to have something sweet. Then, their home-made Pecan pie is the one that their waiters will strongly recommend you to try. Not too sweet and smells so good! Green Truck Pub Address: 2430 Habersham St., Savannah, GA 31401 Phone: (912)-234-5885 Hours: Tue-Sat 11am-11pm
During half of a busy-buzzy day of work, the fantastic avocado burrito wrap will drive away all your tiredness. The roasted chicken and veggies in it just matched with the wrap so well. And the Mexican rice though as a side dish,is also delicious. Before you order, the waiter already brings a bowl of crispy chips with delicious salsa for you to hold you over. They had a great variety of options, recommending guacamole and pork dishes as options. Tequila’s Town Mexican Address: 109 Whitaker St., Savannah, GA 31401 Phone: (912)-236-3222 Hours: Mon-Thu 11am-10pm; Fri 11am-11pm; Sat 12pm-11pm; Sun 12pm-10pm
To begin a wonderful morning in Savannah, you don’t want to miss Coffee Fox as a morning pick-me-up. With a cup of café con leche and a soft fruit and cream cheese kalache, you are fulled with energy to light up your working day. With the aroma around, it fills your whole day with joy.
If you still have some space in your stomach, you will definitely want to try LuLu’s Flourless Chocolate Tort if you are a dark chocolate lover. The thick chocolate layers makes you fill like in heaven! Also, their White Chocolate Cheese Cake is popular if you want something less sweet.
Coffee Fox Address: 102 W. Broughton St., Savannah, GA 31401 Phone: (912)-401-0399 Hours: Mon-Sat 7am-11pm; Sun 9am-6pm
Famous for their drinks, the Lulutini is a great chocolate martini to try! Sparklebomb is another good choice if you want to balance the sweetness in your mouth. The tastes of it is filled with passion fruit flavor, a little sour and sweet, just like you are drinking directly from fruit with some light martini. LuLu’s Chocolate Bar Address: 42 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Savannah, GA 31401 Phone: (912)-480-4564 Hours: Mon-Thu 5pm-11:30pm; Fri-Sat 2pm-2am; Sun 2pm-11:30pm

shops/
Begin your Savannah shopping on Broughton Street, the most popular shopping destination for the historic downtown area. On Broughton, you will find three of our four favorite Savannah stores: Paris Market, Sylvester & Co General, and Civvies.
Custard Boutique is one of Savannah’s shopping gems. Hidden on the cross street of Whitaker and West Taylor, slightly off the main drag of Broughton Street, this boutique holds unique treasures and designer goods. Pop in if you’re looking for unique pieces like patterned palazzo pants or gorgeous handmade jewelry. Our favorite Piece? Kris Nations State Necklaces ($44)
When you step into The Paris Market on Broughton Street you may feel as if you just entered a store on Rue Cler. Paris Market is two floors of stunning visuals (they’re known for their exquisite window displays), and decadent imports. From books, to trinkets, to baby clothes, if you’re looking to find an unconventional souvenir for someone special, this is definitely the place to look. Don’t forget to check out the café located on the ground level! Our favorite piece? Tocca 10.6 oz candle in Bridgette ($38) The Paris Market Address: 36 W Broughton St, Savannah, GA 31401 Phone: (912) 232-1500 Hours: Monday-Saturday, 10:00-8:00, Sunday, 12:00-5:00

Modern Sylvester Co. is a breath of fresh air. Unfussy whitewashed floor, ceiling, and cabinetry makes for a relaxing shopping environment, and easy to identify sections make shopping a breeze. March 17th st. patrick’s day
March 1st-31st sorrel-weed house
The second largest celebration in the United States, St. Patrick’s DAy here is taken for very seriously...or not. With a huge parade and morning mimosas, St. Patrick’s Day is certain to be fun. While there will definitely be highly intoxicated people roaming the streets, it actuallty is a great event for your family. Just be sure to tuck them away when you head down to River Street or Broughton for drinks with your friends at night. On a Monday this year, the official St. Patricks parade will happen Saturday, so bring your friends and have fun!
No trip to Savannah is complete without some kind of haunted tour. Dubbed the most haunted city in America, Savannah offers frights for the whole family. While you can always take a hearse tour, or walking tour, I have found the Sorrel-Weed house to be one of the most exciting ghost tours. Armed with your ghost hunting gear, it’s sure to be an excitng trip no matter who you go with.

1. What are your favorite spring trends? I love pastels, even though I tend to wear a lot of black. Light purples and blues are great for nails and accents so this Spring I’m looking forward to taking advantage of that look. 2. What are you listening to right now? Right now I’m listening to the entire Beyonce album and Rihanna’s album Unapologetic 3. Who are you looking at? Following? am always looking at the Man Repeller, her blog and her Instagram. She is constantly sharing amazing arm parties and shoes, plus her outfits are so creative and fun. Rihanna has an amazing instagram account as well, sometimes inappropriate but always stylish. She wear the best outfits regardless of where she is going. My favorite post of hers was a street style picture of her with long straight black hair, a huge white fur floor length coat and sweatpants and New balances. She is amazing. 4. What’s your essential item for spring? This spring I’m going to make sure I wear tons of skirts! I love how many different styles there are and they come in fun colors, too. I think a white lace midi skirt is going to be my essential item. 5. Where are you shopping? I am constantly shopping online at Forever 21, H&M, Nasty Gal and of course ZARA. I love a good sale and I like to collect my favorite things, like boots and fun skirts. I also love to shop in smaller, local boutiques, you can always find hidden gems that no one else will have /22

3. Who are you looking at? Following? I’ve been obsessing with both Alexander Wang and Bumsuk Choi’s SS14 collection. They’re both so minimal and geometrically designed, that it makes my heart sing. My favorite blogger is Justin Livingston. I’ve been following him ever since I started blogging back in 2012. His style is so chic and masculine at the same time. 4. What’s your essential item for spring? I’m following my favorite spring trend with this one, so the most essential item I want to add to my spring wardrobe is a floral blazer! 5. Where are you shopping? Currently my new obsession is Topman and Choies. I love their pieces and they come at a great price!
