URBAN European Centre for Urban Culture
Oscar Walheim BA (Hons) Architecture
Appealing to the vernacular style of industrial brick breweries and factories of Lille, my proposal for a European Centre for Urban Culture attempts to provide relief from the dense urban fabric whilst retaining tactility and prominence on a personal and human level. oscar_walheim@outlook.com

LANDSCAPE Abbot’s mill visitor centre/museum Oscar Walheim BA (Hons) Architecture
Using Chaucer’s ‘Miller’s Tale’, my proposal combines fictional literary narrative with the historical narrative of Canterbury. By taking inspiration directly from the area’s history, I was able to create a reminiscent landscape that establishes an atmosphere for viewing the rest of Canterbury. oscar_walheim@outlook.com

ROOF HS2 Trainline Station platform
Oscar Walheim BA (Hons) Architecture
Inspired by proposals for the HS2 train-line, my proposal is for a shelter on the platform of a railway station. The building aims to petrify the speed and dynamism of the high-speed trains, taking inspiration from tensegrity structures and Theo Jensen’s Strandbeest. oscar_walheim@outlook.com
