Pump Smart Technology Revolution

Building Safety, Building Confidence Worldwide

By Anna Mullen, Marketing Director, ICC Evaluation Service

Conformity assessment is critical to the safety of residents everywhere. Consumers worldwide have long been demanding safer building products. They require characteristics such as quality, safety, economy, reliability, compatibility, efficiency and effectiveness to be thoroughly examined – conformity assessment is the solution. For manufacturers, the accomplishment of product certification adds a level of quality and customer assurance in one’s capabilities and product. For authorities having jurisdiction, certifications (evaluations) completed by third-party conformity assessment bodies are the best tool available to approve products for installation with ease of mind. ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) is widely recognized as the leader in providing conformity assessment for building and plumbing products worldwide, including the United States, Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the MENA region. ICC-ES evaluation reports provide information about what code requirements were used to evaluate a product, how the product should be identified, installed and much more. ICC-ES has been working diligently with EOTA for many years, in an effort to align technical specifications across both entities. This cross-licensing agreement, currently in place, allows both sides to use copyrighted technical content for each other’s

Forever Barnwood has a deep appreciation for the simple beauty and rustic charm of barnwood. But we know how limited the options are in sourcing reclaimed wood, with an aging process that naturally takes years. For this reason, we devised a patent pending treatment process that captures the unique qualities of barnwood with a quicker turnaround time, unlimited quantities, reasonable or no lead-times, all at a more affordable price. At Forever Barnwood, we use recently harvested Wisconsin white pine, but that is only the beginning of the story. We use the part of the pine tree that is typically discarded by loggers or made into pulp. In a way, we like to consider our process “green.” We use the part of the tree with all the character – the part of the tree with the most knots, color and wormholes. We like blue stain, water stain and about any imperfections that nature can grace a piece of pine. We use this character scarred Wisconsin white pine to create a wide range of products, like barn doors, beams, countertops, flooring, mantles, millwork, shiplap and more. All products are individually hand processed to capture the quality and authenticity for which Forever Barnwood is known. Our products are safe for use, both in your home and in any commercial/public spaces. This means that Forever Barnwood has enabled an innovative approach to all commercial projects – projects that require safe contaminant-free
