Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA)
The Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA) works to build vibrant and tolerant democracies in the region by promoting human rights, good governance and the rule of law. OSISA works in 10 southern African countries - Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe. OSISA publishes a wide variety of journals, papers and research reports each year. Along with its flagship journal, Openspace, and its journal on African women, Buwa, OSISA also publishes three key series - Open Debate, Open Learning and Open Policy.
