Memory is the most potent of ingredients. Part confessional, part automat, with a peppering of telephone box, this is a proposed respite within the future urban landscape of hungry souls and forgotten pasts. In the face of commodification and food scarcity, this mechanical booth converts tangible memories into food for the soul, thereby reviving iconic meals of old and the sweet taste of nostalgia. Winner of the Non-Architecture Competition: Eating.

An exhibition of architectural models by students from RAvB Rotterdam, RWTH Aachen and TU Delft. Acting as neutral facades, three display cabinets of varying sizes were constructed with OSB panels, coated in white textured stucco. The slits in the facades frame the individual buildings above and create a panorama of the large site models in the bottom drawer. Presented in Aachen, Germany, in collaboration with (and photographed by) Marius Grootveld.

Through simple forms and palettes, these illustrations celebrate treasured Pakistani childhood snacks, as a reimagination of the colour and hand painted ornament that adorns Pakistani trucks. Following the tradition of local truck art, the subject of desire or pride is centered within various geometric frames.
