December 2008 – Present
Took over leadership of joint project with Associação Turismo Algarve towards evaluating the impact of the Meeting Industry sector in the Algarve. Also structured and lead a market driven intelligence survey for the Portuguese residential tourism sector. As part of my business development responsabilities, participated in the product mix definition for a newly planned resort in Alvor, launched a Fractional Ownership Think Tank and published several articles in Portuguese press media.
Villas & Vacations (Almancil) Rentals and property manager
June 2007 – November 2008
As rental manager, repositioned the pricing portfolio and implemented aggressive procedures for property take-on. Inverted a four years lasting downward trend, achieving a 16% increase in turnover and 17% increase in days sold comparing with 2007. Successfully launched the fitness and club house activities, including the setting up of infrastructures, landscaping and trainers hiring. Create synergies with the rental operations, as well as implemented other added value services. Optimized procedures to improve interaction with customer support services.
Projects participation as Independent Consultant
January 2003 – 2007 Liberty Seguros: Acting as Engagement Manager, was responsible for the delivery of the highest priority functionalities through collaboration with the product owner and the delivery team. The project’s objective was to migrate all business support systems to a web-based platform to reduce costs, and speed time to market delivery time of new financial products.
