For his first Cannes entry, beloved auteur Ira Sachs is bringing the heat, care of a starstudded cast of both regulars and newbies, all centered around the eponymous Frankie, a formidable matriarch who has brought together her family in the sunny climes of Sintra, Portugal. The film stars Isabelle Huppert in a role already earning awards buzz, along with Brendan Gleeson, Marisa Tomei, Jérémie Renier, Greg Kinnear, and many more, all of whom are introduced in the following gallery, exclusive to IndieWire.
