25. Larminuta (Italy-Switzerland co-production) "Larminuta" is the third film made by Italian director Giuseppe Bonito and tells the story of a 13-year-old girl who, for unknown reasons, is forced to live with another family. The film, which premiered worldwide at the Rome Film Festival, is based on the novel of the same name, written by Donatella Di Pietrantonio. "The film touches on some sensitive strings, our fears of abandonment, the bonds we build with those who care for us, the chances that life offers us by asking us to become adults of our times," Cineropa writes in the film's review.
