Finding the perfect Christmas tree is easy with our stunning range of shapes and sizes

FEELS LIKE REAL You’ll find the quality of artificial trees has improved hugely over recent years, so it can be difficult to tell them from the real varieties. Look out for those with ‘feel real’ branches, which feature polyethylene tips that make the trees look more realistic.

Kjeld, our grower in Inverness Ensuring the quality of our Christmas trees is one of our most important Christmas jobs – and to make sure we have the best trees possible we have worked with the same high-quality set of growers for many years. These growers work as a co-operative under the Needlefresh banner. We visit the growers every year and pick the very best trees from the crop. Needlefresh make sure the trees are cut as late as possible and then delivered straight to us, which means that when you buy your tree it is as fresh as it can be. To keep your real tree looking at its best for the whole festive season, we recommend you:

Don't leave it too late to find your perfect real tree. Buy early to get the best choice. 2 Leave your tree outside and stand in water until you are ready to decorate. For best results, use a water-holding Christmas tree stand (see our selection in store). 3 Keeping the water level high is key to reducing needle loss and to making sure your real tree lasts perfectly all through Christmas. We also recommend using a sugar solution, such as watered-down lemonade. 1

Simple tips for building your perfect Christmas village Arranging a background
STEP Lay out the items from the MyVillage Base Kit and place the mountains at the back of the scene. Add the backdrop behind the mountains and secure with tape. (Please note that the mountains may differ from those shown above.) HANDY TIP If you’re using a mains adaptor make sure there’s a handy switch socket nearby.
Setting the scene
STEP This is where the fun starts, as you use your imagination to choose from the huge selection of LEMAX buildings, figurines, trees and accessories and design the village of your dreams.
