NEW YEAR, NEW BEGINNINGS

WE HAVE SOME BIG NEWS TO ANNOUNCE!

Guilderland, NY - We have been remarkably busy at the Sports & Spinal Wellness Center over the past few months. Many changes have been taking place and we are ready to roll out the news. First, as many of you know, we have been making renovations in our office. We expanded our waiting room, relocated our reception desk and treatment rooms and we are sprucing things up. So far, everything is going as planned and the feedback from our patients is positive. Thank you all for being very accommodating as we are settling into the new space.

My second piece of exciting news is that we have acquired a second chiropractic office. Over recent years, I have developed a professional relationship with Dr. Michael Paster from Paster Chiropractic office here in Guilderland. He recently made the decision to retire from 35 years of private practice and has chosen the Sports & Spinal Wellness Center to oversee the care of his patients. I know this decision was not easy for him, but he has put his trust in our healthcare team to help make this transition for his patients. We would like to thank Dr. Paster for his commitment and service to the Guilderland community and congratulate him on his retirement. He will be seeing patients at his office until the end of February 2021 while he transitions to our team.

Lastly, I would like to welcome Dr. Richard Schmidt to the Sports & Spinal Wellness Center team. He will be stepping in at Paster Chiropractic to provide care at his location. Dr. Richard L. Schmidt, Jr. is a Doctor of Chiropractic licensed by The New York State Office of Professions since 2000. He has been in private practice in Walton, NY for the past twenty years and is now moving to the Albany area. He graduated with honors from The State University of New York at Albany and Life University School of Chiropractic. Dr. Schmidt holds full body and advanced certifications in Active Release Technique (ART) and is a member of the ART Elite Provider Network. Active Release is designed to quickly reduce pain and improve function by releasing restrictions and entrapments that occur due to injury and overuse. With two decades of experience, Dr. Schmidt has successfully treated a wide range of conditions in patients of all ages. He primarily performs manual adjustments of the spine and extremities combined with Active Release Techniques. He is also experienced in flexion/distraction, Activator Instrument adjusting and other methods for patients that require a different approach. Dr. Schmidt specializes in evaluating the whole body for proper function and focusing on resolving the problems that cause pain and reduce performance.

I have genuinely enjoyed getting to know each of you over the years and each day in practice. As we transfer your care to Sports & Spinal Wellness Center, Dr. Richard Schmidt will continue to see patients here at the Paster Chiropractic office.
