Obituary Luther Davis was born on December 16, 1952 in New Orleans, LA and departed this life for his eternal home with Jesus on December 15, 2014 in the comfort of his home with his two sisters by his side. Luther was the son of the late Willie James Davis, Sr. and Benola Davis. He was educated in the New Orleans Public School System and worked various jobs in New Orleans until his health began to fail. Luther was the father of one daughter, Dianna Jackson of Katy, Texas and one son, Luther Jackson of New Orleans, LA.

“Big Lut� loved his family and friends and he cherished and adored his nine grandchildren. Luther was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Willie James Davis, Jr. and one nephew, Willie Davis, III He leaves to cherish his precious memories his son and daughter, his grandchildren, his two brothers, Lionel Davis (Fredonia) and Michael Davis; two sisters, Janie Mae Johnson (Jerome) and Mercedes Davis; one sister-in-law, Janet Davis; friend of the family, Rico Lewis; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
