e met four years ago while in graduate school. We instantly connected on our first date and had our second date the next night! Due to our busy schedules, our budding romance required many study dates sprinkled with weekend getaways. We bonded during romantic dinners and neighborhood walks as we discovered shared interests and values. Our relationship is built on love, trust, fun, balance, and friendship.

In 2011, we were legally married in Washington, D.C. followed by a beautiful ceremony and fun reception in Savannah, Georgia. Soon after, we rescued our sweet dogs, Cooper and Roxie. They are great with children and love to play. Our child will belong to a family that provides endless love, laughs, and opportunities. We can’t wait to become mothers through open adoption!

e are thrilled to be parents and eager to share many different experiences with our child! From weekend trips to game nights, we want our son or daughter to enjoy all that life has to offer. We love traveling and can’t wait to explore the world with our little one! Whether spending time with family at our Tennessee River cabin or hiking with our dogs, we’ll always have fun together. We can already imagine our child’s excitement while taking his or her first boat ride on Lake Lanier!

aura is amazing, kind, and loving. I admire her strong work ethic, carpe diem attitude, and ability to provide for our family. She just finished a half marathon and triathlon! I can’t wait to cheer her on with our child as she finishes the next race! I envision Laura and our child racing kites in the park and chasing fireflies in our yard. Since she’s the technology guru and handywoman of our house, she’ll be happy to help our child with math homework or fix any broken toys. I know she will be a caring, encouraging mom and excellent role model.

Laura enjoys working as a project manager for a health care company that owns several local hospitals. She loves that her job is close to home so she can stop in for lunch anytime with our child! Her former job as a nurse will also come in handy for soothing childhood boo-boos!

Kara’s work Kara, a former teacher, loves being an early childhood education professor! She teaches college classes in multicultural education and supervises new teachers in their classrooms. Her flexible schedule will allow her lots of time at home with our child. From doing cool science experiments and art projects to volunteering in our child’s classroom, she’ll be there for everything!

ara is a thoughtful, caring, and outgoing person. She is hilarious, so I can’t wait to hear her and our child belly laughing after one of her invented songs. Kara enjoys movie night and is looking forward to snuggling and giggling with our child over a funny children’s flick. She also loves to play sports like golf, soccer, and kickball, so she will make a great coach for our child’s activities! Her warm, nurturing, and funloving personality will make her a great mom.

amily is very important to us and we see them often. Laura’s parents and nephews live nearby and are excited for us to adopt. They look forward to making crafts, camping, and putting on puppet shows with their new grandchild. Our nephews are already talking about building forts, making S’mores, and playing tag with their new cousin! We’ll enjoy participating in family traditions with our child. From icing covered fingers during our Gingerbread House Contest to hunting for Easter eggs, our child will be surrounded by love and family.

Kara’s parents are thrilled to be grandparents and can’t wait to cuddle and read with their grandchild. Their homes in Florida and Savannah will provide endless family fun splashing in the waves, building sand castles, and searching for shells along the beach!

e live in a neighborhood filled with children, and it has a park that’s perfect for kickball games or enjoying a picnic. Visiting the playground can be part of our daily routine! We have a huge backyard for our child to play catch or splash in the sprinkler with friends. We’re 20 minutes from downtown, so we can easily take our little one to watch the otters and monkeys play at the zoo or touch sea creatures in the Aquarium’s Touch Tank! We can’t wait to see our child’s face light up when he or she feeds the animals at Yellow River Game Ranch. The Children’s Museum and Center for Puppetry Arts are sure to provide lots of family entertainment!
