We took our niece and nephew last summer and they really enjoyed the sand and getting their toes in the water!
ABOUT US • We would like to share with you a bit about us. We met at work right out of college. We felt drawn and comfortable with one another and friendship soon became love. We have been married now for 10 years. We are a fun and loving couple, both of us are easy going. We take advantage of the year round sun in our climate by going to the beach often, going to outdoor concerts and entertaining at home enjoying our outdoor terrace all year. We also love quiet time at home, relaxing cuddled up watching movies. We have always dreamt about having a family and five years into our marriage we got pregnant, but lost the baby. After a couple of years of fertility treatments we soon realized that God had put adoption in our hearts. We can not wait to be blessed with parenthood, to raise a son or daughter with lots of love and lots of laughs. We have a big family, who are also excited about welcoming a new member! A NOTE ABOUT ADOPTION • Obed’s family opened their home and hearts as foster parents to Willisa, Obed’s younger sister, when she was 8 years old, so we know first hand the deep love shared within an adoptive family. She is an adult now, but she knows where home is.

Meet Nayda
WRITTEN BY OBED NAYDA IS AN AMAZINGLY GENEROUS AND LOVING PERSON. She is always looking to help me and has become a mother figure for her family. Nayda loves looking after her nieces. She is incredibly devoted to her family. Her sister recently gave birth and stayed two nights in the hospital. Nayda stayed with her both nights, taking care of both her sister and newborn niece. She often visits her sister during lunch breaks, helping her sister with the kids. She has the biggest heart of anyone I know.
She is also very strong spiritually and emotionally. Nayda will meet new challenges and difficult times without blinking. Her mother became ill months into our marriage and Nayda caringly looked after her for close to a year throughout the illness, with never a complaint or an excuse. I believe her spirituality and faith has given her strength to meet adversities head on. I know that Nayda will be the best mother to a child! She has all of the qualities needed for mothering. I can’t wait to see Nayda with our little one.
BY NAYDA • I’m an easy going, loving person. I enjoy spending time with our friends and family, having them over for barbecues, or just to hang out and watch a movie. Living where we do we have an outdoor lifestyle which includes many activities and going to the beach often. MY CAREER • I’m an Engineer for a US based company. Meet Obed WRITTEN BY NAYDA
OBED IS A LOVING, CARING MAN. He is smart and funny, easy going, friendly and a people person. He’s always there for friends and family who need him, even total strangers. I always remember that when we were still dating my grandma fell ill and I stayed with her overnight in the emergency room, as you can imagine by 6am I was sore and tired, and there he was with coffee and breakfast. Obed had gotten up early to check on me before heading out to work. He did the same thing a few weeks ago when my sister had her baby and I stayed with her overnight to help. There he was with donuts for everyone bright and early. Even with strangers he’s the kind of guy who will stop to help out with a flat tire. Just the other night
GOLF WITH THE GUYS
we witnessed a small car wreck driving home from dinner and he didn’t hesitate to stop to check and try to help the folks involved. He has always been great with kids, from helping with diapers, feedings and getting our littlest niece to sleep to giving golf lessons to the older kids. He was born to be a dad, and kids adore him. Obed has a great relationship with his parents, he shares his passion for golf with his dad. He’s so funny, he’s always making me laugh, we have fun together everyday. He’s smart and successful at what he does, but work doesn’t consume all his energy. He tells me he loves me everyday and I’m blessed to be his wife.

BY OBED • I consider myself outgoing and friendly. I enjoy spending time with my family, having BBQs in our back terrace, playing golf and trying new restaurants. I still keep in touch and meet up with friends from college and hang out with friends from work. MY CAREER • I am an Implementation Engineer for a US based company. My tasks include budgeting and supervising equipment installations for new antenna locations. It is important for me to enjoy my job, to see the merits of the labor, and to enjoy the work environment. I try to make work enjoyable for those working beside me.

Even though we’re not parents yet, we get a lot of practice with our nieces and nephews. We spend a lot of time with them, playing and babysitting. Their ages range from teens to newborns.

OUR FAMILY • We’re blessed to have most of our family near us! Both of our parents and our sisters Dorelsie and Nadya live close by and we get to see them and our nieces regularly. Although Nayda’s brother, Ernesto, lives a few hours away we do facetime often so we can see our little nephew Eduardo and his new twin siblings who were born just a couple of months ago. Obed’s brother Jose with his wife and kids, and his little sister Willisa live just a plane ride away. We talk often and get together for family vacations and Christmas. One of our favorite traditions is on Christmas day. We all get together for brunch, open gifts and afterwards all 3 generations play Pictionary, although this year we tried head banz (which was fun too!), we laughed so hard we cry! They all can’t wait to meet the newest member of our clan.

OBED’S SISTER WILLISA • Obed’s family opened their home and hearts to Willisa, when she was 8 yrs old. They became foster parents and Willisa became Obed’s little sister, although they weren’t able to legally adopt her, she’s the baby of the family. Our Home & Community OUR COMMUNITY IS GREAT FOR KIDS!
OUR NEIGHBORHOOD • We live in a neighborhood that is gated with 24 hour security, a nice park with lost of trees, tennis and basketball courts. It’s walking distance to shopping, and we have great bilingual schools a few minutes away. The beach is only a 15 min drive and the mountains are about a 30 minute drive. OUR HOUSE has two stories and is made of solid concrete. The first floor consists mostly of open spaces: living room, a dining area, kitchen, a comfortable family room, and a nice, breezy backyard with a covered terrace. The second story has 4 bedrooms, two full bathrooms; the baby’s room is steps away for the master bedroom! OUR COMMUNITY • There are lots of kids riding their bikes and walking to the park everyday. We have friends with small children in the area, so there will be plenty of playmates. Our area has lots of outdoor activities for families like outdoor bazaars and farmers markets. EDUCATION • We are near one of the best private schools around. Bilingual education is key their to curriculum. We’ll ensure our child has access to the best education in a safe, nurturing environment.
WE LIVE CLOSE TO THE BEACH!
PLACES THAT WE LOVE: VENTANA DEL MAR • a local outdoor venue that is very kid friendly. It has lots of grassy areas and is steps from the beach with beautiful ocean views. BEACH • We have warm weather year round which means our ocean is warm and great for swimming all year! MARQUESA PARK • a forest and nature preserve with great local bird exhibitions, and a great play area for the kids.
OUR CHURCH • We really love feeling like we are a part of our church community. COMMUNITY AMENITIES • Within our gated community there are basketball courts, tennis courts, a gym, a pool and a grassy park area complete with swing sets and a playhouse. Kids really enjoy it. We can’t wait to walk over there on Saturday mornings with our little one and have a picnic!
