Gamenight at the Den

Join us for a back to school bash at Game Night at the Den with the free ice skating! All ages are invited to the Panthers IceDen for a cool night of interactive games, plus a party DJ, food, ice skating and more! Parkland Youth Fishing Derby

The Youth Fishing Derby is back for 2022. Take the kids or grand kids over to the fishing pier at Pine Trails Park for an exciting, FREE competition is allowed on the shoreline of the lake as well as the pier, but please do not wade into the water. Nobody wants to catch an alligator! Participants must bring their own fishing tackle and entrants must be ages 3-12 years old. Check-in starts at 7:45 am and the event lasts from 8:00 am - 10:00 am. Household Hazardous Waste Collection

Head over to the Cypress Pool for an entertaining and educational experience for families of all ages! Participate in water safety activities and wear your swimsuits. Learn about resources to help make your home water-safe. There will be CPR instruction & practice, music, prizes, and, waterpark & pool fun. Nature Pop®! Back 2 School Weekend

Sean Kenney’s Nature POP®! is inspired by the pop art movement, Sean’s work on Nature POP! plays on that movement’s principles by blurring the boundaries between austere and the everyday and draws from a belief that everything is interconnected. Guests will enjoy entertainment by DJ Anarchy on Saturday and the Florida Children’s Theatre Circus Spectacular, on Sunday, kids’ activities, receive Back 2 School giveaways* courtesy of Memorial Hospital, and play larger-than-life board games on the Wray Lawn. Hosted at Flamingo Gardens in Davie. 9:30 am - 5:30 pm.

Flamingo Gardens Orchid Society Meeting

Listen to “The Orchids of the Catasetum Alliance and How to Grow Them” presented by Olivier Turina. Olivier fell in love with orchids at the 2013 Ft. Lauderdale Orchid Show & it has become his passion ever since. He is currently on the board of the Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society & has a YouTube channel called “Orchid House” where he shares a few tips on growing some orchids. Join us at Flamingo Gardens, Mary N Porter Learning Center. Doors open at 7:00 pm.

The City of Parkland is bringing the big screen to your own backyard.
