New Year’s Day marks the beginning of 2022! It also serves as a point in time for many of us to start a change in our lives, like losing weight, eating healthier, or reconnecting with long-lost friends. Whether you call it a resolution or simply a goal to be a better you, the first step to making it happen is to write down what you want to accomplish and the steps it will take to get there. By setting a goal and keeping to your plan, you can make your goal or resolution a reality.

Personally, our goal for 2022 is to spend more time with our children. With our two oldest sons now away in college, our nest is becoming emptier. We want to cherish family time as much as we can.

Rock the Park!

Come rock with us! The City of Plantation and Baptist Health present Rock The Park, a FREE concert series! Enjoy a night of 70’s, 80’s & Soft Rock hits with the band Yacht Rock. Plantation Farmers’ Market

Orange Blossom Pagent

Davie resident girls ages 2-18 and men and women ages 55+ have an opportunity to compete in the Miss Orange Blossom Pageant and the Mr. & Mrs. Orange Blossome contest for a chance to be crowned. Winners will represent the Town at events throughout the year, including the Orange Blossom Parade and Festival, Hippity Hoppity Egg Hunt and Lighting of the Greens. The pageant for women 55+ will be held at 11am on Jan 21 while the younger ladies’ pageant will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center, 3801 S Pine Island Rd in Davie.
