As a result of the ongoing pandemic, it has not been easy settling into a new reality with new routines across the globe. This has been especially prevalent for those in our educational system. Teachers, parents, and students alike have been struggling for months learning virtually and getting accustomed to new standards and new responsibilities.
Regardless if inside or outside the classroom, the process of learning virtually has been frustrating, to say the least, for everyone of all ages and all grades.
Stephen Levin, TooJay’s Director of Sales delivering dessert platters to the faculty and staff at Cooper City Elementary Furthermore, becoming dependent on the internet has been another challenging factor.
However, on the bright side, the Coronavirus has shed the light on the importance of teachers and how essential they are to students and their parents during these difficult times. TooJay’s Deli recognized this positive truth and wanted to say, “thank you” to all those who have gone above and beyond. The award-winning restaurant chose to express their gratitude and appreciation to these hard-working educators.
“Teachers are such an important part of communities, as they help shape future generations,” said Max Piet, President and CEO of TooJay’s Deli. “We thought there was no better way to show our appreciation than sharing our delicious desserts. On behalf of the TooJay’s team, we thank all teachers for their passion and commitment towards ensuring our kids’ success during these uncertain times.”
In late October, TooJay’s Deli treated Cooper City Elementary with their traditional dessert platters on National Dessert Day. The Broward County school faculty and staff were thrilled to receive such a surprise

delivery filled with delicious treats such as rugalach, brownies, Tollhouse squares, black & white cookies, and macaroons garnished with strawberries.
“It was such a pleasure to have a sweet treat from TooJays for our staff members. During these difficult times, giving back to our staff is our little way of saying ‘Thank You’ for the hard work they do. As a Principal, it makes me happy to give back to my employees. Partnerships, such as TooJays, play a pivotal role now more than ever in sustaining the positive climate of our school,” added Monica Schlosser, Principal, Cooper City Elementary School.
