the compassionate and determined teen wanted to do more to honor his longtime mate. He wanted to focus on giving back and turning the negative news into something positive.

“Evan and his family mentioned that there were families at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital that were facing similar health obstacles, but they did not have the same financial means. The opportunity to give back to these families was a way we could help,” explained Moldof. “Together with my brother Aidan and our friends, North Broward Cares wwas born. We contacted 3 Heart Strings and within one month we were selling bracelets and the rest is history.

Upon presenting their check to JDCH CEO Caitlin Stella, the students announced that they would continue their benevolent efforts for Hollywood’s premier children’s hospital by creating a bracelet that features a heart and the initials “JD”.

“Evan is a friend that I consider to be like a brother and when your brother is down it’s your responsibility to do anything or everything to help. I will always be there for Evan,” added Moldof.
