The Kids Will Have a Ball at Mayor’s Kids’ Day

In Pembroke Pines, children also have their own special day, just like mothers and fathers. The Annual Mayor's Kids' Day, taking place on June 16, is expected to attract over 1,000 children for a day of fun. One of the highlights of the event is the opportunity for kids to have lunch with the Mayor and explore local businesses offering special deals.

This free event is specifically for children aged 15 and younger, and pre-registration is required. Residents can register at various locations throughout the city, such as the Pines Recreation Center, Rose G. Price Park, Town Gate Park, and Pembroke Lakes Tennis Center.

Upon registration, kids will receive a special wristband that grants them access to hunt for deals and freebies offered by local businesses across the city. They can enjoy a range of exciting offerings, including free bowling, swimming, haircuts, ice cream, mini golf, cookies, breakfast, and more. Participating businesses will also provide discounts on purchases, food samples, raffles, and other promotions.

Between 12:30pm and 1:30pm, the Mayor will host a delightful lunch filled with entertainment for the children at the City of Pembroke Pines Charter High School, located at 17189 Sheridan Street. During this time, kids can engage in a City Trivia game with the Mayor for a chance to win prizes.

Kids can also interact with fire and police personnel, as well as enjoy the company of various mascots from event sponsors. Additionally, they can test their luck in the BrightStar money machine, filled with valuable prizes. The City will provide a complimentary lunch, while Publix will provide dessert.
