Personalized cancer treatments and comprehensive support services delivered with the heart of Baptist Health, right in your community.

Miami Cancer Institute, Baptist Health’s most ambitious undertaking to date, is a state-of-the-art cancer center focusing on clinical expertise, an unparalleled patient experience, innovation in clinical trials and technology, and an academic mission to improve cancer care for all. After only four years, Miami Cancer Institute is already Florida’s third largest cancer program in terms of new patients. Our newest location in Plantation will bring the same level of advanced, personalized cancer care to patients in Broward County.

Our initial permanent Broward County cancer care team is comprised of breast medical oncologists, a radiation oncologist and a full-service, state-of-the-art infusion suite. Surgical oncologists specializing in head and neck cancer, gynecologic oncology, urologic oncology, orthopedic oncology, breast cancer and endocrine cancers will be coming up for regular consultation hours. The team will be enhanced in the coming months by medical oncologists sub-specializing in GI cancers, urologic cancers, thoracic cancers and head and neck cancers. Permanent surgical oncologists are also being recruited, with a fellowship-trained breast surgeon planned first.

We have an ambulatory surgery center within our Plantation location allowing for overnight stays. If your surgery is more complex, patients can be transported to Baptist Hospital in Miami for surgery and back to Broward at no cost.

In addition to the ambulatory surgery center, our medical complex in Plantation provides comprehensive support services and comprehensive diagnostic imaging. We also provide expedited referrals, when needed, to certain advanced services unique to our Miami site, including stem cell transplantation, proton therapy and our advanced skin cancer detection technology and expertise.

As part of Baptist Health, Miami Cancer Institute provides cancer services from the Florida Keys to Palm Beach County. We are proud to be paving the way for new and better treatments that help more patients conquer and survive cancer.
