Chiswick Flower Market is hosting a children’s workshop to design and paint their own terracotta pot on Sunday 3 April, in the Boston Room of George IV, 185 Chiswick High Rd. W4 2DR. Recommend age 6 years plus but with help from their adult, all ages welcome. Design and paint your pot and then have a wander round the flower market to find a plant to fit in it. Tickets - First child from a family is £20 and all additional children are £17.50. If one child in a group is under 7 then the group needs to be accompanied by an adult. Easter egg hunt and crafts
Hogarth’s House in Chiswick has an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday 9 April, 10.00am – 12.00pm. Ages 5-11. Join the hunt and find two eggs, then bring them inside to decorate and put in your Easter basket. Tickets £15 Book – Google Eventbrite + Family activity: Easter egg hunt and crafts.
Pedalos in the Park
Gunnersbury Park pedalos are back in action on the lake from Saturday 2 April, 11.00am – 5.00pm on weekends, weather permitting, with extended hours over the summer holidays. Available on a first come, first served basis, £8 per half hour, card payment only.
The Great Gunnersbury Easter Quest
Gunnersbury Park is holding The Great Gunnersbury Easter Quest on Wednesday 6 April. Dotty the Gunnersbury Gardener needs help from children to solve a mystery by following clues and completing challenges. Join her on this special interactive quest around Gunnersbury Park led by their storytellers and help discover where the Rhyming Rabbit has hidden the chocolate treasure 11.00 am – 12.00 pm 1.00 – 2.00 pm 3.00 – 4.00 pm Tickets £10 Book – visitgunnersbury.org
Easter egg hunts at Osterley Park
Osterley Park has a nature trail for children to follow, with chocolate at the end. Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. The trail takes place between Thursday 14 – Monday 18 April, from 10am to 5pm, with last entry at 4pm, so come along and explore the beautiful gardens of Osterley. Redbeard’s holiday camps
Osterley Park also hosts Redbeard’s holiday camps for children aged 5 – 11. Set in the lush woodlands of Osterley House, each camp has a mix of activities available including but not limited to: green woodworking, primitive fire lighting, woodland arts and crafts, tracking, foraging, natural cordage making, den and shelter building, mini-beast hunts and games. London Wetland Centre
The London Wetland Centre in Barnes also has an Easter trail for children, who have to find a number of bright yellow ducks around the wetlands site. London Wetland Centre is home to a wide variety of duck species, from the brightly coloured Mandarin to adorable whistling ducks. Real live ducks are particularly wonderful at this time of year with male ducks displaying their bright breeding feathers. The Wetland Centre has a programme of activities for children each day during school holidays. You can go pond dipping and watch the otters – Asian short-clawed otters, the smallest of all 13 species of otter worldwide - throughout the day swimming and splashing under the waterfall, grooming and foraging, when they are not sleeping in their specially designed holt.
