The ICS Alumni Association is back! As a result of their overwhelming success during the St. Patrick Catholic Church’s year-long 175th Anniversary (2012), alumni and friends decided it was time to reinstate the “old” ICSAA. Maybe it was the success ($$$) of “Ole-Fashion Fish Fry,” their first annual “Taste of St. Patrick” or the tremendous turnout for “Homecoming Weekend” at Fr. Figaro Hall, they saw the need and have a NEW ICSAA. The need has always been there, but no one ever said “…Let’s Do It!” Monthly meetings have been going on since last summer, July 23, 2012. Membership is open to all Alumnus and Friends who support their goal/mission. The mission of the ICSAA is two-fold: support the Oblates Sisters of Providence (OSP) and maintain alumnus connection to preserve the history of the school (ICS). The following alumni have been chosen as officers: Patricia Mack (‘60)President (Mack0216@yahoo.com), Barbara Gourdine Clark (‘66)-Secretary (barbgclark@yahoo.com), Doris Hamilton (‘ )-Financial Secretary and Genita WilPage 4

son Thompson (’65)-Treasurer. The fol-

lowing original members of the ICSAA have been designated as Honorary Organization Members: Ruth Duncan, Samuel Holmes, Rosalind Martin, Harry & Althea Noisette and Amelia Moore Taylor. The group has various social plans discussed/objectives; forming a Bowling League and/or Card-playing night. Fund Raising ideas are: Casino Trip, Oyster Roast, Crab Crack, Cabaret and/or Fish & Chicken Dinners (twice a year). Barbara Gourdine Clark, is responsible for communications, she has plans for a nation-wide campaign asking for your input, support, ideas and time to help to accomplish these goals. The group was encouraged by the support last summer, and looking forward a more viable and productive association in the coming years. Membership of the NEW ICSAA is $25.00/year, and the group encourages out-of-State members to form groups in their communities where feasible. Let’s go ... Need everyone to get involved! . In The Know: . . .

• The ICS Class of 1963 is scheduled to celebrate their

There have been several meetings and proposals as to the “where, when and who is in-charge.” We need someone from the Class of 1963 to provide information/pictures to the newsletter so that information can appear in the July edition of our ICS Lions Newsletter. Thank you for any and all information! • We need more “ICS Family Stories” for our current series for the year. We know of many family stories that need to be told, PLEASE submit your family’s story and let’s share our experiences! • The list of E-mail addresses (MAILER-DAEMON) returning is getting longer; it appears that some people have either changed their e-mail address and/or bundled their internet services with cable TV, telephone (i.e. Verizon-Fios, Comcast-Xfinity) and the like. If you know of someone’s e-mail address has changed, please forward new address to: ICS.Lions@yahoo.com.
