We have received your letter requesting educational assistance from the Buffett family. Doris Buffett, sister to Warren, sometimes provides post- secondary scholarships to qualified individuals through her privately funded foundation named The Sunshine Lady Foundation. Those awards range from $1,000. to $5,000. per year. It is important to understand that scholarship grants are given to individuals who equally meet requirements of both merit and need. Scholastically we require candidates to have an unweighted GPA of3.0 or better, SAT scores of 1500/2400 or ACT of25 or better. An ability to write and speak grammatically correct English is required and strong moral standards are nonnegotiable. Need is determined by documented income and surrounding factors. If you think you might be eligible to become a Sunshine Scholar, based on the preliminary guidelines outlined, please provide the following informal information of which supporting documentation will be required at a later time. o
