Listen, I am someone who has worn UGG boots in the past, so I feel it may be hypocritical for me to slander them. However, because I wore them when I was, like, 10 years old, and it has been a decade since, I think I have room to judge.

I sincerely apologize to anyone who likes wearing UGGs, but I am questioning you on that aspect of your wardrobe. They are not cute and honestly have not aged well with fashion trends. The shoes are so chunky in a not cute way. They just look so unattractive. One can be absolutely gorgeous and fashionable and they still will ruin a ‘fit. I cannot imagine myself wanting to pair my outfit with a tacky pair of shoes like UGGs. They also suck in the winter; I know we typically wear them in the winter, and they are warm, but when I wore UGGs, my feet still got damp walking in the snow.

There is absolutely no need for these shoes to continue to be as popular or as widespread as they are. I do not get how they are still being massproduced. They are just so ugly, like, I cannot deal with those shoes. At the end of the day, I obviously cannot tell people what to wear. If something makes you happy, do it. But, does it really make you that happy wearing UGGs?

In my world, UGG has been a closet staple for years. I own it all, from clothing to slippers to boots, and with the brand’s recent resurgence in popularity, I am starting to love UGG even more. UGG boots were bound to make a comeback with the revival of 2000s fashion trends, and the comeback has finally arrived. More specifically, the UGG Classic Mini Boot is the shoe that everyone is currently wearing. Unlike its taller boot sister, the Mini is incredibly easy to slide on while on the go. In general, UGGs conveniently pair with the go-to loungewear looks in every college student’s wardrobe.

While some people perceive UGGs as a fashion faux pas, I do not. I will admit that the shoes are not the most aesthetically pleasing. However, they are not for someone looking to make a fashion statement. The brand’s signature fluffy-lined shoes put comfort over appearance, and I love them for it. The winter months are dreadfully cold, but UGGs keep my feet and ankles warm all day long. According to UGG, the wool lining is designed to regulate body temperature regardless of the climate. My favorite way to style UGGs is with leg warmers and sweats to keep myself cozy in the cold weather. UGG boots will always have a special place in my heart because, when I was younger, I watched my sisters get them for Christmas every year. I was jealous. Now, there is no reason for me to be jealous because I can keep up with trends and live out my childhood fantasy with my UGGs.
