National Back to Church Sunday is an excellent opportunity for you and your congregation to reach out to the community and bring people back to church. A survey by LifeWay Research shows that 82% of the unchurched are likely to attend church if invited.

Planning Time Line for best Results:

This summer, get your Back to Church Kit & read the planning guide. Begin praying for God’s guidance on how to reach out and prepare your church. (See page 3) Six weeks before your event (July 31 for most churches) begin preparing your church. Show the promo video included in the kit and encourage your congregation to begin praying about those God might want them to invite. Build excitement by displaying your indoor banners around church. (See page 4) Three weeks before your event (Aug 21 for most churches) order postcard invitations to invite every home in your community to attend Back to Church Sunday. Postcards should arrive in mailboxes early the week of your event. (See page 6) Send out a press release (template included in the kit) to the local media to get free media exposure about your event.
