Tea Fannie Artist Spotlight
Tea Fannie is a lyricist and rapper born in British Columbia, but has lived in Edmonton, Toronto and Saskatoon, and is currently based in Calgary. Her music is a mash-up of trap, hip-hop, and R&B. She credits Jhené Aiko, Jazmine Sullivan, Missy Elliott, and Nicki Minaj as creative influences. While living in Edmonton, she began as a poet before starting a musical career when a friend encouraged her to play at their album release party; it was just the push she needed.

The EP Most Hated, a collaborative production with female rapper Miss Benzo, evolved spontaneously over a week and is now available. There will be more collaborative projects with new artists and a project with a completely different tone, more comparable to neo-soul, next year.
