We enter the electoral season with new and old players challenging the mayoral elective position, all wishing to be the chief executive of cities and municipalities throughout the country. This election was launched months before the campaign period with boots on the ground for grassroots support, for those seeking re-election as well as for new aspirants wishing to challenge sitting mayors. The incumbent mayors do, of course, have the edge, not only for their authority and influence, but for the effective leadership they have shown their constituents. It is all about achievements. How do we generate the awareness needed for constituents to see and understand what a mayor’s projects are all about?
