Handsome Matt Maeson is just one of the talented musicians performing this spring and summer at a series of free concerts in Sacramento’s Cesar Chavez Plaza. The 30-yearold Virginia native is the singer-songwriter whose singles “Cringe” and “Hallucinogenics” both topped the Billboard Alternative Songs chart a few years back. Maeson will headline the May 12th show, which also includes three other performers and begins at 5 p.m. Matt’s concert in Cesar Chavez Plaza will be followed by shows every Friday evening through July 28th. Other “Concerts in the Park” headliners this year include Cassie Vega, Rain City Drive, White Reaper, Island of Black & White, Wild Child, Arden Park Roots, Eric Bellinger, Blue October, and The Brodys.
